we should book mark this picture to show the next person that posts and says that

I am ' banged to rights' because

I read the signs / they where clear / the signs comply ....

Been reading all your posts and need some advice. Thought this company were new to meadowhall and came back to car to find a nice orange Parking Notice on my windscreen. I left my car before the centre opened in a designated parking spot, not disabled or mother & child bay and needed to use the train. I left the site for a few hours and came back via train and then continued to shop in meadowhall, got receipts and times etc. Only saw the lovely sign as I finished shopping and was leaving the centre. Does the company have the right to enforce this ?

How did they know you "Left site"?

Did you go in before shops had opened?

please start a new thread , but also look at (I think) points 7 and 8 of this sign ,

    1:you were shopping elsewhere

    2: you left the site

Must have seen me walking across the bridge towards bus/train station, which doesn't actually prove anything. Unless they can get hold of CCTV from meadowhall, in which case they would see me shopping in meadowhall too. Seems abit extreme to me ! The ticket left doesn't even have a highlighted section for leaving site by other means, so they have marked other points, like "Not Parked in a Designated spot or displaying a valid parking ticket ", both of which don't apply.

one has to ask , why they did not mitigate their losses by simply informing you of the perils of leaving the site

Since there is presumably an exit pathway/bridge that goes towards this train station, have they made any effort to point out that a charge is payable for leaving the car park? I'd expect that an unmissable sign would be required in order to uphold any claim it was an agreed charge.

Who is this "you" on their signage. Is it the driver only or does that include passengers? If the latter, does the "leaving site" rule also apply to them?
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
