Meadowhall / PCM OUT!!! CP PLUS IN.

I visited Meadowhall today, no signage up at all, and a random bod wearing a CP PLUS Hi-Vis was on patrol - not sure what he intends to do since there are NO signs up at all - all the old signs were PCM and quite new since they went over to the IPC.

Website updated too

I would love to know what happened to PCM, I am guessing that the fuss kicked up with the IPC changeover may have had something to do with it (Many complaints sent to people high up at BL)

Welcome back trubster! You are one of the few I accept pm's from! :D

CP Plus will be bringing in ANPR cameras I expect.

The good thing is POPLA will apply and CP Plus don't use the POFA so a keeper appellant can win with one email...or at POPLA if CP Plus want to waste time/money.

What happened? Were people complaining and pointing out no real appeal existed?

I can't see that personally, they offer free parking and it is all day - they even resort to putting signs up saying "Parking is free at Meadowhell" - I really can't see them charging or bringing in time limits - but anything is possible.

Exactly, so at least now the "Kangaroo Court" is out of the way, it was very hard to get people to stick to their guns and many people I know have paid as a result of the threatograms. At least now, there will be ways to have tickets launched into oblivion and it won't be a cash cow that it was quickly turning into.

Yes, I even found myself leaving contact details on cars with tickets and trying my best to help - even pointing them to PPP. Unfortunately, many paid but I got MANY people to send strongly worded letters to British Land HQ.

As you know, this site really annoyed me and thought they were above the law - I went out of my way to disrupt the cash cow and it appears that action has worked (Not sure of the reason, but I would like to thing that the complaints will have had something to do with it.)

I even know of someone that had a BB displayed the wrong way round (Exp date still shown) and the car got a ticket, BB Image supplied to PCM - Appeal Refused, IPC Appeal rejected - BL Complaint - Case Closed!

It was getting to the point that it was a joke.

That's the new signage so it confirms CP Plus have it now.

The signage at the site is woeful and I had to hunt for this one. The old PCM signposts are still empty poles.

They were out in force ticketing the disabled bays... I actually left them to it after seeing someone parking a 4x4 and RUNNING to the shops... Some people actually deserve to be fleeced by the cowboys.

ANPR Cameras installed but no time limit

Also, when you park your car as a staff member... You are not on duty, same applies when you return, you will have clocked off.

Also... How on earth do they know a child is 5? Next they will be wanting to measure children.

The parking charge is not prominent = breach of BPA CoP, and legal test of fairness (the "red hand" observation one judge made).

I can't read the small print ... does it say what ANPR data will be used for?

Doesn't mention ANPR; only CCTV, which is monitored by Meadowhall security.

Wow you could park there for a fortnight for free or all day every day - surely that's not the intention! Ridiculous.

So an on-duty staff member only gets a ticket if they park in a non-designated area or park outside of a marked bay. (... "park in these areas," the only areas described being the two above.)

... and what about off duty staff but in uniform?

These total Muppets must have a small army of attendents to interrogate every visitor to see if they are on duty staff or shoppers!
