I don't know how to make it any more simple.
" If you’ve ever wondered why your diamond looks different in sunlight versus candlelight or daylight versus office lights, it’s because the cut of your diamond responds differently depending on the light and the environment you are in. How – and where – you look at your diamond can greatly change its appearance."
Tell you what, you explain how you can take a picture of a ring where the central stone is lit by candlelight, and the surrounding stones are lit by daylight.0 -
For me the one on the left the gold claws that hold the stone in place are > shaped. In the right the one at the bottom of the middle stone has a different shape. So it looks like different from the other claws more of a blob of yellow gold.
To be totally honest I think of H. Samuels as cheap and cheerful, you are not going to get high end diamonds or gold from them.0 -

Well ive linked to an article explaining why diamonds look different in various lighting situations. Maybe you can backup what your stating.0 -

Thumbremote is not disputing that diamonds look different in different light settings, only that OPs ring has what looks to me to be 7 stones in the ring. In the first picture all stones look to be even colouring. In the second the six outer and the top of the inner stone look to be of even colouring (although without the blue hue of the first pic) but the bottom of the centre stone has a definite yellow almost blob. This difference in colour wasn't there before and can't be attributed to the lighting of the photo.0 -

The colour tone of the hands look completely different, are they the hand of the same person? If they are, surely that is a good indication of how lighting etc. can make identical items look absolutely different colourwise? The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
I'd argue that it can, particularly dependent on how the centre stone is set and on what material and whether a flash was used, as seems to be the case in the second pic but not the first. It may well be that these are completely different rings but to make a conclusion based on what we've seen in just 2, albeit totally different, pics is a bit of a stretch imho.
The conclusion that can be drawn is that there is something different about the centre stone in the second image. Given that this is the whole reason the OP posted, I don't think it's a stretch at all.0 -

You might be right, but with the lighting so different in each photo it is impossible to tell0
