Some dealers replace the plates on a used car with a set that has their name on , e.g You buy a used car from The Car Shop and open the boot to find a perfectly good set of plates and a brand new set on the car with The Car Shop printed on them.0 -
I had two sets of plates with my new leased company car. One had the dealer name on, and one had lex autolease.0

I paid 7.99 on eBay. Dont have supplier details on so probably not legal but I doubt I'd ever be pulled for it!!!0

Nah same number on the plates in the boot, i used the yellow one for my caravan.
Maybe a logo on one of them? Will have to check that. Maybe they got pulled for the logo and swapped them?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Bought some plates last week from the NENPP seller via Amazon. They now come withWWW.EZYCARE.CO.UK BD4 7PG
along the bottom of the plates.
After some simple research, they appear to come from a company called Ezy Care Limited which was dissolved in April.0 -

Tell me more, do i need a special logo on my dogging plates? I bow to your superior knowledge in this field (or carpark)
Yellow ones on my caravan and nobody was peering through the windows when it was dark on my last trip away.
Forgot to check the pictures on the plates, seem to have forgotten where i put the front one?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
How can ebay sellers just make up and send out plates without checking the log book and registered address? No wonder so many cars are uninsured as it is too easy to buy anyone else's numberplate and stick it on your own car! The law never seems to get to grips with what is really going on does it?0

Legally, they can't, and haven't been able to for fifteen years. The law never seems to get to grips with what is really going on does it?
The problem's not the law, but the enforcement of it.0
