It seems to take anytime up to 7 days.

The first time was 3 days for me, but the next was over christmas, so this took 2 weeks.
  • Hi,

Does the application form come via email or post? When initially requesting an application form what level of detail do I need to go to in the email?

I'm only asking as I sent them an email on Dec 26th with hardly any info in at all, and had the automated response of "sent in the next few days" but have not yet heard anything!

    Any info much appreciated!

    Hi Steph
The others sent me their answers and I looked over and made some (I hope helpful and constructive) comments on their answers before they submitted them. If you want to do that once you can get the application pack and have answered the questions I'm more than happy to look at them. Just PM me for my email address to send it to when you need it :)

    Good luck to others.
I got in on my 2nd try if that helps and sometimes I'm sure they don't fail you on anything more than just they've got enough researches recruited at that time... although not certain...

JustMe - you don't need to say anything in the original email except - please send me an application pack - and it comes via email - check your spam box if you think you should have one and can't find it.... although I think there probably is a backlog from over Chrismtas.

    Hi all

I emailed for an application pack before Xmas, received it a couple of days ago. I think I got Test 8 (what will happen at my friend's party?, how many tube stations begin with A etc). The one about "where is best to eat in Holborne" and "Which is the best hotel in St Albans" were the hardest for me. Were they looking for an opinion or fact? Test has been sent now anyway, but if I don't get in at least i'll have an idea where I went wrong!!

It's opinion vicks, with a bit of 'hearsay' fact thrown in.

I would do something like Google 'restaurant review Holborne' and pick one with a good review. I use Trip Advisor for hotels - put St Albans in the search and then list them by popularity.

Obviously if a hotel pops up with 'Best Hotel in Region 2007' or something similar, then that's a good one to pick.

For stuff like 'what will happen at my party', make something up like 'Your party will be best your friends have ever been to. You will play Twister and listen to Kaiser Chiefs all night' (corny I know but it should be just fun and informative).

Thanks Keren, I used trip advisor for that one so looks promising.

For the party one I think I put "At your friend's party you will spot a gorgeous man with green eyes. Grab his attention by wearing a sparkly outfit with some funky accessories". I thought go for something fun along those lines!

Just a quick Q: how long does it take them usually to get back to you? And do they let you know either way?
