Where I work we have a rule that anything brown has zero calories - that way we can munch on stress induced chocolate safe in the knowledge that we can't possibly be putting on weight. (To be honest - I am concerned though that the wardrobe has been shrinking waistbands on all my clothes for a while now!!)
Chocolate doesnt have calories, its everything else we eat that has the calories. Calories arent my problem tho, I'm about a stone underweight, its the flour/gluten thing. And I hate diets. As a kid I watched mum yoyo diet losing 5 - 6 stone several times, food controlled her life so I was determined it wasnt going to happen to me. I ate what I wanted and thought I was just lucky not putting on weight. Shock was 7 years ago when diagnosed as coeliac, I put on best part of a stone by going on a gluten free diet and am still underweight but mentally I just cant do it. Just had an orange penguin with me cuppa as already blown it today. Cant think about the long term implicationsMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Still here, went to have a late night mooch at the house we're going to see tomorrow, looks ok from outside, I spoke to a guy there as I noticed he'd left his car door open so went round to tell him, he said it's quiet, mainly families, no hassle apart from parking which is good, his was the only house any noise at all was coming from, bigish house and even has a conservatory & seperate dining room
but parking looks a bit of a nightmare as he said. What I was pleased about was it's been empty a while and nothings been touched/damaged. Here they would have been into it within hours. DP said 'Sounds like you've decided already' but like I said want to see it in day time properly, instead of falling up and down steps in the dark trying to be nosey.
As for neighbour, quiet since I got back, just heard some noise which I'll check in a mo, on my own at the mo as DP at work so a little scared, can tell as I'm sat in the dark with laptop on. Council have agreed to me setting up CCTV which I will get tomorrow, use until we move. Have had several offers for people to 'deal' with him, so far have declined, I'm not that type of person, the force these type of people would use I think may be a little OTT for this situation knowing what they are capable of!One day I might be more organised...........

Well, after saying I would have a S&S of the bathroom, I ended up doing a thorough clean (apart from the floor, as it is too late to mop etc, as I have to be up early for work tomorrow. It is now all sparkly, and I got an "it smells good, and what did you use to make it so shiny?" from OH, so I'm pleased.
I'm glad things are quiet at the moment lil_me. I hope the house you are going to see tomorrow is nice. We've had problems with the neighbours around here too as a lot of young yobs have moved to the area, and it used to be full of retired people who were quiet and considered their neighbours. We want to move as soon as we can afford to (was going to be this year if we could get the flat in order, but OH had some Polish people who wanted to rent his house that we were going to move into, so we won't be moving for at least a year now). Never been scared for my life though like you lil_me - I think you are very brave sitting there in the dark on your own - I'd have been inclined to stay at my parents for the night or something similar, but I suppose DP will be home soon? When does he get back?
Thinking of you.

He'll be back within half an hour now, I'll be watching for him coming in just incase as neighbour seems to have friends round again, usually works later but work is quiet. Tomorrow will be 3-4am ish. Dreading it. Hopefully all will be ok.One day I might be more organised...........

I'm glad you won't have to wait too long for him lil_me. I'll stay up for a bit for you to keep you virtually company. As tomorrow is a Friday night, could you not convince some of your female friends to come over for a girl's night in and sleepover like we used to do as teenagers? Just a thought.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

well, my hour is well up and have done ok. almost gave up as tired and couldn't be bothered but kept going!
put things back where they should be
filing on desk & tidy bits up
dust everywhere - did a few bits as i passed but most will have to wait til next week.
hoover everywhere
clear kitchen worktop (i ran out to work having made soup!)
hoover / wash new futon cover & wipe frame
bag for charity shop
empty bag from time away & case from last weekend
empty DW
clean bathroom
none of it is done to super standard, but it is done. not sure what to do in study as i now have the new futon (single) as well as the single bed-chair. OH has it on weekends (i only have a single bed!) and has been getting v uncomfy on the old thing. hoping the futon is better but i don't want to get rid of the old one until i'm sure. so currently one is sat on the other....goodness knows what to do tomorrow night!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
