0 Credit Score for Bad Credit

Options
Hi

Im wondering if anyone can help. About 6 months ago I have a poor credit score (in the 300/400 range) - all of a sudden I am at 0................does anyone know why this would go to zero?

I have made a few payment plans in order to start getting a grip on my finances which are all being paid off but why has it just disappeared?

Thanks

Have you asked the company that generated the score for a reason?

Maybe it's all the defaults you will now have.
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p
  • I don't know which company its from? I would just presume that if there were defaults your general low score wouldn't be zero?

And everything is paid on time to the agreements each month?

Firstly, your "score" is irrelevant - only you and the CRA see it.

However, when you say you've made "payment plans" - do you mean paying less than should be due each month ? If so, there's your answer - who is going to lend you more money when you've already demonstrated that you can't pay what you owe already ? This will reflect badly on your credit history, and is why the CRA will have lowered your score.

The "score" is generated by the credit reference agency themselves, who is it from ?. You need to look at the detailed credit file to see where the defaults are. Multiple arrangements to pay on your file will reduce your score although I do not believe we have seen a 0 before.
  • Thank you for your replies. When I spoke to the bank they had not seen a bank and said that payment plans are still classed as agreements so it shouldn't decrease them to zero.

I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this really as I sort of thought the 0 was a myth.

I have only checked with experian.

    Thanks

I rate you 5x Asda economy rich tea biscuits, send me £3 a month and I can increase your rating to 999

Zero presumably means "no data currently available" or something similar since it's way below any reasonably likely score. Will probably get back to some more normal level next time, it's likely to be just a temporary glitch in their systems, not something to do with your own record.
