Bank saying im dead

Options
Just recieved a letter at home from my bank , to be read from my representatives as now classed as deceased lol, Im relaxed about it now but was a bit disturbing when i first read it other members of my family however are appalled.
Should i complain ? Never been one for a scrounge but they have took enough off me over the years , could it be worth a freebie for rising from the dead ? Lol

The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

Ask them who informed them you were dead... then cut that relative out of your will...

I'm assuming you have proved to them that you are not dead and thus stopped them from freezing your account(s) while waiting for probate.
I need to think of something new here...

It was just a generic letter from the bank informing my next of kin that a loan i gad taken out a few years ago would remain the same as far as payment were concerned. Obviously i am going to have to contact them to assure them of my continued existance lol.
Im pretty certain ill get hit with the glitch in the system excuse .
  • It might be worth checking your credit records as well, it could just be a mix up and someone with a similar name / dob has died. When my dad died it somehow impacted my credit files wrongly linking me to his mortgage amongst other things, so I had to get that all removed. So you should probably sign up for noddle / clearscore and keep and eye on those for 6 months to make sure nothing else goes strange on there as well. For experian I had to get a note added to my file explaining I had no financial link to my dad's house as well as that was impacting my file.
