Error in DOB in recent application

May seem a strange question, but why are you assuming you made the mistake? Have you a copy of the application you made with the wrong DoB on it? Was it an online application?
If this happened to me I would simply assume the CC provider had made a mistake copying my DoB from the application form.
It was an online application so it was my mistake but it really wasn't an issue.....they guy just changed it he didn't make any kind of comment he was more interested in asking if I wanted a cash advance lol. I kindly declined!0 -
My other half made 2 N&P application - 1st one declined without CIFAS. 6 months later she made another application which was also declined with CIFAS.
N&P fraud dept said date of birth was incorrect and there were number of inconsistencies between the two application example.
1. On first application she put her mobile number, on the 2nd application she didn't.
2. On first application she said she will be switching her old account to N&P - on second application she did not want to switch her account to N&P.
3. On application she said she did not hold an account with society although she hold a savings account with Yorkshire B/S.
We could have made further complaint but didn't but decided not to make any applications to N&P. Sometimes these smaller banks are difficult to deal with rather than big high street banks.0 -
Reminds me of an occasion when I was just a lad .... went (well cycled at an incredible rate of knots) to a newsagents to apply for a paper round. He asked me "how old are you?" and my reply (I was so flustered and sweating profusely) was along the lines of "Let me think ..." :wall: needless to say I didn't get the job.
Therefore, I would like to express my solidarity with the OP0
