Vodafone and wifi on London Underground.

Options
I have just started a SIM only with Vodafone.

I got a email stating I could use the wi.fi on the London Underground.
What what does this enable me to do ?

Managed to login today and surf the Internet and play a radio station , but I assume that I am unable to use wi.fi calling?
Or I don't know how to use it !!!

Any help pls
I have a iPhone 6 ( not from Vodafone )

Pretty sure you need a 6s to use wifi calling on Vodafone.

Yes, treat it just like any other wifi network that you use. If you upgrade to a 6s or newer you can get the calls as well.

There’s no additional charge for using the Wi-Fi Calling service. All calls you make with it will come out of your bundle’s minutes allowance as usual.

To take advantage of Wi-Fi Calling, you need:

A Pay monthly Red or Red Value Bundle, Red+ or Business Premier*
    A compatible device:

    iPhone 6s or 6s Plus
A Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 edge bought directly from Vodafone at one of our stores, online or by phone through our customer service team

    http://www.vodafone.co.uk/explore/network/network-improvements/wi-fi-calling/

Of course, there is no technical reason for it not to work on the 6, (or even the 5s), it's just Vodafone being Vodafone ;).

No, iPhone is not like Android, any compatible iPhone bought from anywhere will work for things like WiFi calling on any network that supports it.

The same will hold true for VoLTE (4G Calling) as it is launched.

If you mean Vodafone, yes, only supported on 6s and 6s plus and Vodafone firmware Galaxy s6 and S6 edge at present.

Whoever makes the decisions like the number 6 and letter s ;).

EE on the other hand allow it on any iPhone since the 5c/5s which were the first to have support built in.

OP whilst Vodafone state on their website you need an iPhone 6s (or later) for WiFi Calling (on a qualifying plan) have you gone into Settings>Phone to see if the option is there to enable/disable it?
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.

    I haven't no....but will have a look.

To be honest I was just trying it out....a gimmick if you like.
On the platform and facetiming whilst waiting for train.

Noticed it's only on the platforms....now if it was in the tunnels as well:beer::beer::beer:
