OP whilst Vodafone state on their website you need an iPhone 6s (or later) for WiFi Calling (on a qualifying plan) have you gone into Settings>Phone to see if the option is there to enable/disable it?
That doesn't work, I've tried. Working and active in my 6s, move the sim to a 5s or 6 and the feature is deactivated.====0 -
Ok I now have a iPhone 6s and a Vodafone sim....
What do I need to onto get this working...
Yesterday, walking into several tube stations the call drops and I thought it wasn't meant to do that0 -
You can use wi-fi on most station platforms now-what you cannot of course do is use it on the trains themselves (and I hope it continues that way, as the thought of being surrounded by people yelling 'hello, I'm stuck in the tunnel' would probably drive me to catch the bus instead).
If you were on a conventional call using 2/3G, then the call will drop, you would need to be calling using WhatsApp or any other VOIP app via wi-fi.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Ok....thought I had this
Here's a example of what I thought would happen
I'm on a call above ground and walking into tube station the wi.fi would take over and I'd be able to continue the call down onto the platforms .
Have I got that wrong. ?0 -
That doesn't work. Google found this:
A word of warning here, if you start a call on Wi-Fi and then venture outside of your network's range the call won't automatically transfer to your mobile network - you'll get cut off, and vice versa.
Apparently EE are working on some form of handoff feature, so calls could switch between Wi-Fi and mobile networks.0 -

EE have already got it working on parts of the network, it's part of the VoLTE protocol where calls can be made over 4G (and transferred between wifi, 3G and 4G).
The other networks should also implement VoLTE at some stage.====0
