it isn't your spelling or grammar that got peoples backs up.
it was the fact that you thought it was a good idea to take a year off to 'do up' your house while they paid your living expenses, rather than you got a job and saw to the house around work/

so not predjudiced against people with dyslexia, but prejudiced against people that CHOOSE to take the p1ss
  • I don't like how someone dropped some litter the other day. Should this then mean I should comment on how I don't like their disability?
And then suggest that because they are missing a foot or hand that they not only arn't the best runner, that they SHOULDNT be aloud to be a coach.
Personally, I would be more inclined to listen to the advice of a marathon runner with 1 foot, than an able bodied runner as a coach.

I wonder why Philip zombardo bothered with his experiments? People look for common ground from peers to suit their self gratifying objectives- thread is case and point. I wonder if born 100 years earlier in germany who is more likely to have been a member of the SS here. Separation on identifiable moral 'code'. Followed by in-group bias driven segregation for a individual or group wide advantage.

'Teachers as a collective are even more likely to have high levels of group-bias and objectivity due to evidenced conformity though the educational system.'

    Seems legit.

    Thanks people.

I'm dyslexic so I get where the o/p is coming from. My son has various disabilities - one of which is dyslexia. My shocking filing often gets me ribbed at work.

Spell check was made for folk like us- I always use it. Trouble is most film are blind to their own typos- probably because the brain corrects it for us.

As already stated, dyslexia in isolation is *very* unlikely to be defined as a disability. OP does himself no favours trying to play the disability card when, on the information given, he doesn't even meet the definition.

Can you confirm how you have calculated that? It seems very low even if on SMP.

You said earlier your income for 2016/17 would be £4200, leaving the remaining £9543 for your partner.

If she normally earns £32,000 then if working for 3 to 4 months of this tax year before baby is due then that's at least £8000-£10,666 without SMP.

At the very least, SMP is 90% for 6 weeks then £139.58 for 33 weeks. I asked earlier if she has any enhanced maternity pay, can you please confirm? Most info online suggests she would.

When is she going on maternity leave?

I'm convinced you're not going to get a reply from the OP. ;)

Probably not. Don't know why people bother posting if they won't answer the questions needed to help them.

Lol and I may have managed spell check but not made sure auto correct didn't get me. Folk not film.

I consider my dyslexia a difficulty as opposed to a disability. My son has other issues which do amount to a disability. It's all a question of degree isn't it? I have arthritis and often struggle to get dressed or get out of the bath- yet other folk are far far worse than me.

I have a couple of friends who have dyslexia, they would be mortified if they heard it being referred to as a disability, one of them is a teacher who refused the free dyslexia laptop at Uni and just worked harder and found ways to overcome any difficulties she had, she is now a head teacher, the other runs a design agency who actively recruits creative talent with dyslexia as he has found them to be better creatives.

To be absolutely fair to the poster your question was probably lost due to the 'waffle' that suddenly started on this thread.

This veering off the original topic annoys me when someone (like you darksparkle) is genuinely trying to help with the benefit side of things and their posts get completely 'lost' because of others having a whinge/discussion about one thing or another. :(

Considering he was ignoring/not answering correctly it completely from her first questions, I'm going to say you've got it totally wrong...
