I've sold lots of clothes on ebay and never had a problem but i do list if there is any marks/ damage and take a picture.
You guys have managed to sell used clothes on eBay, I never managed to sell some BRAND NEW clothes. :( Long story short, they were bought in Spain by a friend of mine for someone's two sons (a toddler and a teen) but I never managed to see the person in question for five years, so the clothes stayed in their bags. They've still got the tags, I put them on eBay last October, with BIN or Best Offer, lowered the price, never got an offer.

Have sold other stuff I thought I'd never ever sell such as:
    • 35mm slide mounts - who'd buy that these days? £6 for two boxes
    • A walkman (cassette tape player) not used since 2001 (but still working) £25!!!
    • A 50 year old single vinyl disc - Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields £4
    • An 11 year old Xyron lamination cartridge for £15
...but the clothes don't shift! :(
Big corporations take advantage of the unwary, it's time we learned how to deal with them

Be patient! Some things sell straight away, some have taken a while. I still have listings I initially listed at the beginning of last year. It doesn' bother me, the clothes is up in the loft, so I can wait until it sells.

If its a brand no-one has heard of it will be hard to sell. I find M&S stuff sells better than more lesser known but better quality brands. I guess people like to know what to expect and they will also know what the sizing is like.

How do you know it did arrive?

I didnt say it did or didnt arrive... i said she claimed it didnt arrive to which i gave a full refund directly into her paypal as the refund link wasn't working. and even after that she still took advantage of the system knowing it wouldn't show as refunded on ebay so claimed a second refund from ebay via buyer protection

Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day, and for once I'm inclined to believe Withnail is right. We are indeed drifting into the arena of the unwell.

Well, that was a very silly thing to do. To be clear, you didn't 'refund' directly, you sent her money, which is another thing entirely.

Personally, I wouldn't buy most clothing online, maybe a pair of pajamas or a bathrobe, that sort of thing. For anything else, I'd rather try it on and see what it looks like when I'm wearing it, with so many shops everywhere I can't see the point of buying clothes online, not unless you are housebound, or if you were buying something really out of the ordinary that you wouldn't find in the shops. I don't even live near the shops, however, clothes are hardly something you'd need to buy in a hurry.

I'm surprised to see so many people buying and selling clothes and shoes online.

I buy lots of my clothes online - I find it a really good way of getting excellent quality clothes (especially lesser known good brands) for much less money. I have had a few fit/style failures, but am happy to pass them straight to charity as I know I am still saving money and gaining quality on buying in the shops. Besides, getting dressed and undressed in shop changing rooms is not how I want to spend my free time.

But not everyone has to shop the same way. In fact, far too many people are bidding up the clothes I want!
