Car not the spec I thought I was buying

This has really highlighted a problem I had in the past. When I broke some bones in my leg I was never even offered red callipers. Bl00dy annoying now, looking back.Je suis sabot...0

Did you buy it outright, or is it a PCP/Lease car (ie Renault's)?"Love you Dave Brooker! x"
"i sent a letter headded sales of god act 1979"0 -
Are they saying this is a brochure mistake and the upgraded brakes are not available, or did the sales guy entering the spec on his PC forget to tick that option ?
In either case, if they are not willing to resolve the issue then tell them you are rejecting the vehicle as it does not meet the spec stated on the contract. Either they speak to Renault UK and find a resolution to get you the brakes... or you get a refund and go and buy another car.0 -

He doesn't want to return the car, he wants the dealer to fit the calipers which they are not prepared to do.0 -

I don't want a refund I want the red calipers. I bought this car for its aesthetics and it's fallen a bit short. I'm not saying I want a replacement vehicle I just don't know what I should suggest as Renault weren't really giving me options but rather asking for me to suggest one.
You could paint them and ask Renault to refund you the cost of painting them.0 -
Yes, I understand that but this is the OP's concern, nothing to do with the dealership, and tbh if they were advertised as having them as standard equipment I really can't see they would be classed as a modification anyway.
Because the callipers he buys may not be to the standard fitted at the factory.0 -
