It's done; well done, it must have been horrible but it was necessary. Try to find something nice to do, something just for you; alternatively do mad press-ups and sit-ups to give your brain something totally different to focus on. Or just cuddle a whippet.
Thanks for your comment about my holiday - I can't complain as although I go through spates of a lot of work (another mad week ongoing so getting my head down with work before I feel daunted and whimper in a corner), I'm sure I don't work as hard as all you flyladies with children to look after. And I have got a holiday booked with my mum for April; also a cottage a few of us old bikers have rented in Wales in July...........it looks like the adventure one for Mr N's retirement may not be the one we hoped, as they got back to us today and the flights are now difficult and hugely expensive.
No flying for me today, didn't get back from uni today but luckily Mr N had done dinner so I scoffed that slumped on the sofa and have now come up to write a report - as you see, I have got sidetracked. Pity MFP doesn't credit me with calorie loss for exhaustion....Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Thank you Narco - I know he's seen it because he texted about 20 minutes ago to say he's read it but nothing further. Got my hot milk here before going to bed and doing a bit more typing to give my brain something else to think about but I jump every time the phone rings (my Mum!) or an email comes in. Deep breaths.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0

Evening lovely fliers
Thanks for the hugs MrsMP. You're allowed to moan on here if that's how you feel and it helps.
I'm sure something else will turn up for your OH's retirement holiday if you keep hunting Narco.
Hugs and well done. At least you both have it in writing and hope you can both discuss it more easily. It might be that he will take more notice of your comments and realise that you are serious about this. He must also realise that now you've put your house in the hands of agents that you mean business.Just sent the email to J and now I'm sat here with my legs shaking feeling sick. This is awful.

Hugs all round as I've just speed read the thread.

My day went: work (took ages as I couldn't think straight), Mr A (made an optician appointment while I was there), Mr Al, home just in time for Mr A delivery to arrive (and they missed something, but the website won't let me view the order to put in a refund request. I'll try again tomorrow before emailing them). I then stood for 2 hours in the kitchen portioning out the wafer thin ham & wafer thin chicken, and started on the cheese. They're not perfect portions but they're close enough and all organised in a fridge storage box (4 thin boxes or 3 deeper boxes which clip together) from Mr Al.
At 4pm I quit and had a nap on the sofa with Zack as I've only been averaging about 4 hours sleep each night for the past week or so. I've done 2 loads of laundry, made tea and thats it. I am so tired, and my throat is starting to hurt so I fear I may have caught DD's sore throat.
Well my phone has just 2% left to charge so I'm going to pack the laptop away and lock up etc. Hopefully it'll be finished by then. See you all tomorrow, which is a work day for me. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
J called me and he was in tears; it was awful. His first reaction was to quit his job and come back home but I hope I've managed to convince him that that is not an option - he needs to be working and I told him it's nothing to do with the fact that he works away that we're struggling (just between us I appreciate the break and it'd be a nightmare if he was at home all the time - plus we'd be completely skint). He kept saying he doesn't know what to do but didn't once say sorry. I'm now dreading him coming home tomorrow evening as the atmosphere will be absolutely awful. Been on the phone to my parents and I'm already blaming myself for making him upset and they were telling me, which I think I know deep down, that I've done nothing wrong - just expressed myself honestly and told him how it is and if he's not careful he'll lose me and the kids.
Off to bed now but got a feeling I'll end up sleeping on the sofa later with the dog - he calms me down. Thanks for listening guys xxFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Hang in there and stay strong - you haven't done anything wrong, just told him the truth. If he's upset, it isn't your fault that he hasn't yet faced up to the truth.J called me and he was in tears; it was awful. I know you're not looking forward to his return but you must remember that you have given him plenty of chances and time to change and don't back down. Stay as calm as you can and let him do the talking.
Sending lots of big squishy hugs and hope you manage to get some sleep. Wish I could do more...

(((Hugs))) Mumof2. I expect reality has suddenly hit home for J. You will get through this and be stronger for it, whatever happens. Try to get some sleep on the sofa. I find that Time Team always sends me to sleep - though it's one of my all-tIme favourite programmes. It must be down to the unhurried way the archaeologists work.0
