Well I am a joy to behold today.. I am in heaps of pain.. 2 days of school runs has killed me and now I have a half hour trot to the hospital for Moomins pre-op assessment. I can see myself crying before I am halfway there lol. OH has gone to the gym so it's just me and Pixie.. so that should be fun.. NOT!!!

CF is excelling his CF-ing self as always.. the sooner he dies the better all round.. disgusting excuse for a human being..

The cats spent the night jumping on me so I'm tired too.. that was when I eventually got to bed after DD1's latest crisis.. she is SUCH a drama llama!!

I'm going to strop my washing onto the line and package up the ebeast stuff I think.. with my rage and misery and post it on to someone else.. I'm fed up of it!

    Today I am a misery guts and I need a slap.. :p

Have you managed to sort your adventure holiday Narco ??

I did a stroppy email to the company and had an apologetic reply saying IT was trying to sort it out. In the meantime she gave me a number to ring and promised that she would see to it that the cashback was honoured. However it isn't sorted yet - seemingly the flights are complicated and may require less direct and more costly than advertised. To be fair, the website said prices "from" and the world is a bit unstable economy wise. A friend has travelled with this company many times, and done the trip we want last year, so we are confident it isn't the company messing us about. They were going to check out more flights and get back to us today.

Pigpen I hope your day improves.

Hard frost here; fortunately my first student has cancelled so it gives a bit more time for my car to thaw out as is is sunny on the front of the house. Plus I can do a bit more of a report.

I hope you're feeling okay today, CY. (((Hugs)))

Mrs MoneyPenny, your MIL is very, very lucky to have you in her life. I think you're a :A.

Healing vibes for your pain, Pigpen and a *slap* for those that are causing you hassle.

WM x 1 on this morning - the last of the pre-Christmas pile of laundry that has been shuffled several times but never cleared until this morning. That is all.
    Better is good enough.

    Morning all!

I hope Moomin's pre-op goes well, pigpen. Look forward to an afternoon with your feet up - you will have earned it!

We had a pleasant though chilly walk round the garden centre yesterday afternoon, followed by :coffee: in their cafe, and came home with 3 new hellebores :D

Last night Flyb€ announced that the time of my flight to Germany in May has been brought forward from 07:20 to 06:40 :eek::eek:

This morning DH has taken the car in for its service and I am plodding on through my list of disparate jobs.

  • Firstly I must say a huge thank you to my Secret Santa. Some very beautiful flowers have been delivered today. You shouldn't have, but they are truly beautiful.

I had a good night's sleep and I feel fine today.

This is probably because the new chemo is weekly and therefore at a lower dose. As chemo is cumulative I can expect it to get worse over time. So I better enjoy the fact I am feeling okay at the moment, and better than I have for several weeks...
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
  • Hope your day gets better pigpen and he gets what's coming to him soon.

Playing catch up with the lists here. Will start by culling the recyclable papers and mags and finding the table again, then it will be about time for work.

Glad you had a good nights sleep CY hope you continue to feel well through this bout of treatments and they don't have too many advirse effects.

CY glad you're having a good day today honey.

    Frizzle
hope everything is going well for you and new baby Frizzle!

Mrs M-P you're so good to your MIL!

Pigpen sending a big slap to those who are giving you grief, sorry you're in so much pain. Hope Moomin's pre-op goes/went well.

Honey Bear well done on shifting the laundry!

Narco I do hope you get your holiday sorted out; you deserve a break.

So today I wasted over 45 minutes just sat in the GPs waiting to see my lovely GP who really boosted my self confidence by telling me nice things; I told her what I could potentially be facing with J and she was very understanding.

If you saw my list (which I'm not showing :D) you wouldn't really think I'd done much but I've been doing things like contacting local authority now my house is vacant re council tax, calling a solicitor friend to get a recommendation from him for someone who will be able to help if we take matters further :( and contacting estate agents re our contract for selling my house. I have vacuumed right through, done another load of washing, done a typing job, walked the dogs down the field which was lovely and then having to wash Pip off as the dirty little girl rolled in poo again. Oh and then a joyous 15 minutes poo picking the front garden finished off with moving and filling the bird feeders.

As for me and J I have decided to give him a final final warning - I've told him not to under estimate me - I am stronger than he would ever know - and I want him to treat me with the love and respect that I deserve. He has to fight for me and show me he means it. I've given him 3 months and then if there's no improvement go our seperate ways. I've put all this in an email as I'd much rather do it that way and let him read it before he comes home tomorrow evening than just sit down opposite him and tell him face to face. He is clever with his words, promises all sorts and can easily confuse me - my friend suggested if I did that I should have someone with me so that can't happen but I've decided if it's written down in an email that's as good. I was going to tell him last night when he called but he didn't ring so that did rather spoil my plan! Not sure if I said but Dad has found out the local schools have places but we'd have to go through the council if I was to move for S's school but it wouldn't be a problem and they do have a space.

Enough rambling, need to finish my tea and get going! S is doing running club after school so going to make us some lovely soup for when he gets home.

  • You'd have all laughed last night, we got mil a new cordless phone a couple of weeks ago, spent ages explaining how it worked etc. Yesterday I made sure she was all settled in after brace fitting but told her Dh wouldn't be round as I'd been with her all afternoon so we knew she was ok. Halfway through tea we got a phone call saying we had to come round straight away as something was wrong with her phone and it kept bleeping and flashing so it was broken and she was worried that in an emergency she wouldn't be able to contact anyone. She rang to tell us this. Anyway both shot round and yes the phone was bleeping and flashing to let her know she'd got a message on the answerphone. Sort it out talked her through how the phone worked again and went home to nuke the food in the microwave.
Thankfully she's mastered the to remote or we'd be on call every time the channel needed changing.
