Maybe they plumbed in the toilets before putting in the cubicles...

That would make sense I suppose. The loos were just not ready in time. But SavvySue saying that you can actually get cubicles with 2 toilets in, made me wonder why on earth that would be..

So at this point it's clear that to you, anyone seeing anyone else naked, adult or child, for any reason, would make you feel uncomfortable?

From what I can see, Torry Quine is saying she feels uncomfortable with strangers wandering around naked in a communal changing room.

I think I'd be a bit embarrassed if it were men walking around in the nuddy, but women, I don't really care, personally. BUT I wouldn't want to be showering and getting changed in front of children.

It as stated before would make me feel uncomfortable. I do not wish to see other people in a state of undress

Given that in the pool many women will be wearing a bikini and many men will be sporting budgie smugglers - I fear that a visit to a swimming pool isn't quite the place for you.:D

Give it a break. Can't you just accept that other people have different views to you.

I haven't been swimming in years so don't know what most people wear. But do a lot of women wear bikinis? That actually surprises me as I thought most would feel more comfortable in a one piece costume. To me, bikinis are more for sunbathing on a beach,

I have never had a problem when I've gone swimming.

Thinking to the times I've been swimming then its mainly full.costumes for the women and swimming shorts for the men

I'm now concerned that if I don't take my child to communal toilets she will grow up a prude with poop issues and not understand that everyone looks different going to the toilet!

I think you get a lot of variety these days: one piece cossies, bikinis, tankinis, swimming dresses and legsuits. It seems to depend on the type of pool and the activities involved.

Reminds me of the toilets in Sochi when they had the Winter Olympics there. They were mentioned on the news

I know men have urinals, but open toilets without cubicles?? I don't think I'd want to be having a pony with other people wandering in and out! Or watching someone else have one :rotfl: And the smell must be awful!

While I wouldn't fancy using one in that environment, I don't think that cubicle walls make much difference to the pong!

That isn't undressed though is it?

I don't see many women in bikinis except if it's an outdoor pool in the summer. Bikinis are a bit of a hassle to swim in especially with diving boards.

Apart from the odd case of Sochi, (or urinals, if you are not too embarrassed to turn and look) I don't think you get many communal toilets where you can actually see what people look like when they are going.

Talking of toilets (as we were) it reminds me of the place where we went for a meal after Mum's funeral. During the day it functions as a coffee bar / cafe, but at night it becomes a nightclub - we were warned that if we were still there at 9 pm the boys would have to show ID.

"You must go and see the ladies" I was told, and off I went. To find a double toilet cubicle!

I draw the line there ...

Driving in the US some years ago, we stopped at a garage out in the middle of nowhere and were directed around the back to use the toilet. It consisted of a wide wooden plank with two holes above a pit, no partition. Cosy!
    . . .I did not speak out

    Then they came for me
And there was no one left
    To speak out for me..
