Will any random passers-by really care much whether your car is 10 or 11yrs old?0 -

Do you like randomly arguing on the Internet? Do you have OCD with arguing with strangers or general forum tourettes?
I have the desire to change plates (NOT YOU).
It is MY car and I can do whatever I like.
Your opinion as to my decision and reasons are IRRELEVANT
Worry about yourself and your choices and decisions, not others, especially when opinion on number plate change was not sought.
Thank you.
Back to my query: what might my plate fetch and is eBay worth a try for plates?0 -

My apologies. I must have misinterpreted the entire point of this thread.Back to my query: what might my plate fetch
Since we don't even know what the plate IS, we have absolutely no idea.and is eBay worth a try for plates?
Since the opinion of strangers on the internet is so unwelcome to you, I would suggest you have a look for similar plates in the completed auctions on eBay, and make your own mind up.0 -
So it's XX55NAT. It's only worth anything if someone called Natalie or Natasha or Nathan or Nathaniel or a member of the SNP wants it. If the first 2 letters were BO, it might be more. You can only try your luck and see if you can sell it for more than it would cost to get a nondescript 56 plate from DVLA - it shouldn't matter if it's the original or a new issue.
I thought at first it was going to end SUE and you didn't want people thinking you were a female lawyer.
Most people would look at that and not even assume it was a "cherished plate" unless they knew the owner. I'm guessing that the original owner either has now got a better "to them" NAT plate - or has broken up with a NAT...I need to think of something new here...0 -

Oh, I dunno. That kinda cries "private plate" - not least because X prefixes were never generally issued on the post-01 style plate.
I think that'd sell really quite well on eBay. I can just see it on a pink-n-fluffy Corsa or Smart or softroader...0
