The U.S. election and British house prices

First thoughts. Should Bernie or trump win, what do you think would happen to the price of UK house prices.
Maybe some capital flight to London per chance ?
Never mind the US election - I noticed recently that Wood Green's finest, footballer Nile Ranger has finally been released by Blackpool FC.

What do you think will be the first thing that he spends his money on once he's been given a new contract??? Lots and lots of Wood Green bricks & mortar, innit.

Breaking news. He could be going to Rotherham.

If he can stay out of prison, perhaps he will help them avoid relegation. Are there any prisons in Wood Green?0 -

Not sure Rotherham is the right move for wood green HPs, suspect Neil Warnock may take a sizeable slice off the top of any new signing's wages.FACT.0 -

How did we go from Trump to Nile Ranger to Ian Holloway...0

Holloway has also managed Millwall. An up and coming part of London.0

I've heard it all now. Millwall? What is the world coming to.
Capital flight does not go to London property ahead of T-Bills or Gilts. Laundered money goes into London property because nobody asks where it came from. There is no KYC and that is the number one reason why London house prices are so expensive IMHO.
I'm flicking through Rightmove and it's nuts. £2.35m to live in Nunhead (6 bedder but still).
£1.425m to live in New Cross.
£750k for a very large terraced house 'in need of modernisation' (utter dump) in Nunhead.0 -
My SIL used to rent a one bed flat conversion in Pepys Road a few years ago when it was the Ghetto. I sold a 3 bed maisonette about a quarter of a mile from there for about 215k 8 years ago.I think....0

Despite shortcomings Trump would boost American enterprise. If you look at Reagans long years attempting to win the Whitehouse he was roundly dismissed as a clown, someone who acted with a chimp, a no hoper. The British press was suitably snotty and smug.
Rubio is too much the wimpish sophomore, the public wants a gorilla with machismo this time, on the back of 'skinny soft handed' Obama.
I just can't see baggy faced dynastic Hillary winning, people just know nothing will change under her, another wasted 4 years basking in foreign affairs and virtue signalling, neglecting real enterprise and blue and white collar workers at home. Yes I know Trump used migrant labour and off-shoring.0 -

I'm not sure that Trump would be the nutter that people think.
He says this nutty stuff and then just backtracks and claims he never said it or that people misunderstood. I think this is all just a part of the getting elected process for him and rule would be a very different thing.
I hope he doesn't win but at least our toasty friend would get someone from outside the political establishment in power.0
