Hilary wins big in South Carolina; 76.5% to 26.0%.

Is this a clever and witty reference to there being more registered voters than people, or is google's counting function broken?

Vote early, vote often. It's a well loved Democrat tactic.

No, it's a typo. Should have read 73.5%.:)

It certainly was in the days that the South was Democrat. Not like that anymore, of course.

They've counted (most) of the votes in Georgia and Texas, Clinton won both, and Sanders is now dead in the water.

FiveThirtyEight set Clinton a target of 453 delegates in Super Tuesday neeed to win the nomination. Guess how many she got? Give yourself a biscuit; exactly 453 according to the NYT. Sanders came in at 70% of target. There is something like a 100% chance that Clinton will be the Democratic nominee.

Republicans? Trump did well, but not well enough to bag it. But then nobody else did well enough to suggest they were a threat either.

Here is some guy who disagrees. He thinks Sanders will be president.

I strongly suspect he's wrong, mind you. Sanders got thumped by 50 points in SC. Which is a lot.

Sanders will, of course, win big in Vermont. But I suspect that once they've counted the votes in Georgia and Texas, he'll be dead in the water.

I would really like to see Sanders win. The world could do with a bit of a shake up.

That is unfortunate. Never mind, either the socio-economic situation will improve and there will be no need for a Sanders, or we will get one sooner or later.

I don't know. The world could do with a bit of a shake up though, imo.
