Ditched Sky, but can't get freesat to work

    No we have a sky box, but no card. We were paying for the basic sky.

    If you don't have a card then you must be getting the Free to Air channels only, so Sky are getting money for nothing.

    Don't say that we have had it for years! It's an old white box, perhaps before the cards came out? We definitely got the Sky Channels like sky arts etc.

    OK does not make sense then. Cards have been issued since analogue days.

    I have the box here. There is a space for an 'interactive card', but as far as I can see, no card.

    Oh well solved. Don't think the interactive card slot was ever used, seems to have been removed on later boxes.
