Can anyone recommend a good travel pillow or are they all generally a waste of money?

None of the ones I've tried have worked at all. I suspect that if you can sleep easily on a plane anyway, it just makes you a bit more comfortable. Whereas people like me who can only sleep in very short bursts, even for just a few seconds at a time, renders them pretty useless. I always look enviously at those people who are sleeping deeply for hours sitting up! I've got a flight to Australia coming up soon and will just try and make it through as best I can as usual. The upside is that I never seem to suffer jet lag.0

I bought my latest one from Primark of all places (it was in the home department) for around £4. Its got little polystyrene balls in it, and a lycra type cover. Was a godsend on my last flight, it was supportive (lots of filling) but comfy.
Just have a nosey about and see what might work for you - I find the inflatable ones intolerable.0 -
I am not sure if you were in any way joking with suggesting this, but I have just bought one. I am able to sleep on planes but my lolling head always wakes me up. I don't like the inflatable ones and the micro beads ones are so bulky that I always opt not to pack them and regret it.
This looks ideal for me.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

No joke. I have a longish late evening flight on a non reclining seat airline next weekend so did a bit of research and spotted this on Amazon. Looks like it could be good. Have more flights on same non reclining seat airline in the next few months so would get good use out of it.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
phew...I was slightly prepared to be mocked for my purchase. I can see how it could be just the thing.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

Look like a good product, I just can't see how stage 2 of using the thing is possible in a plane!?? Outstretched arm...book an isle seat!! (Picture 5 on the Amazon link) :rotfl:0
