2016-02 MSE Plusnet £75 cashback offer

Hi, just signed up to PlusNet best deal link via MSE as I posted yesterday on Best Deals thread.
Just one question...
PlusNet told me today on the phone (answered call immediately!) that MSE pay the cashback. :rotfl:
Does MSE know this is PlusNet's belief? Know Martin Lewis is on telly and all but what the heck?
Just confirmed Plusnet tracked my link and said they could see I signed up via MSE (not that I got any confirmation in their email or Offer Terms etc).
Does ML sign the cashback cheque personally?

No he doesnt sign a cheque personally, he will pop around with your cash when it tracks and hand it to you in person thoughCensorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

According to Plusnet site deal not quite £111. Reqs £25 activation fee (only waived with additional call pack). Also traffic shaped so not quite unlimited.0

No activation fee here. The cashback deal is for Unlimited BB and phone line only. The MSE headline figure needs full year paid in advance for the phone but I went monthly.
Was charged £6.99 router p&p, £49.99 line install (with VM and old BT master socket not active) and first month landline £16.99 = £73.97 total. The cashback when it comes will give me the first month phone rental free and a few pennies more than I paid to sign up.
Realise ADSL BB will be interesting but couldn't accept VM's treatment no more. The BB I get will be free for a year so I'd be embarrassed not to take it and see what happens.:)0 -
Hah so...
Email from PlusNet today (only signed up last week):
"Can confirm that you have qualified for the £75 cashback. We will Email you with a redemption email 10 days after your activation, once you have replied to it then the cheque will be with you in 30 days."
So ML can relax :j0 -
I also signed through the MSE Link in February for the £75 cashback.
I am up and running for last 2 weeks but there is no confirmation of the £75 cashback.
I send few emails to the Plusnet support team but got an automated reply that they do not respond to the emails. What e-mail address did you use Irratus Rusticus please.
I am presently waiting on the chat with them.
Does anybody have the T&Cs for the offer.
Thank youI wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0 -
Hi, sorry for delay in replying, been learning all about ADSL2+ and admiring my new PlusNet 20Mbps download - who knew phone line BB could be this good? Not missing VM's 50 Mbps superfast prices.
I used the PlusNet question widget on the website and got an email confirming receipt. Then got confirmation email about the £75.
Happy to report my Plusnet experience so far has been excellent. OR came on day scheduled and set up the line, router arrived next day and BB was activated day earlier than promised. Decided on my own router for better tweaking but otherwise impressed.
Mind, discovered live less than 250 meters from local BT exchange for years. Not observant. Never really needed VM cable broadband! :T
VM retentions rang me after I disconnected but I remained polite. Best thing they did was patronise me into changing after years on cable.0 -
Is anyone else still waiting for thier cashback from plusnet? My broadband went live with them in december, cashback was due beginning of Feb. I'm still waiting.... Getting more and more frustrated as the days go by.
Apparently plusnet don't have a complaints department, I'm starting to think this is why they have such good feedback because there's no way of reporting your complaints or dissatisfaction.
I have rang plusnet numerous times. MSE have pursued the cashback with plusnet and despite receiving an email in March telling me it would be paid by 23Rd March, this is still outstanding. I contacted plusnet again on 1 April and again have still not had a response.
To top it all off, I moved house at beginning of this month and basically I had three options, sign up for a new 24 month contract at £6.99 a month, pay £114.99 to keep existing contract and free broadband till December or pay £66 to cancel and lose all the line rental I had paid up front and also the option of pursuing my outstanding cashback.
Thier customer service on the phone is awful after several 20 minute waits and being put through to various colleagues, none of which explain to the person you are being transferred the reason for your call so you have to keep explaining yourself over and over again. I have several times asked to speak to a team manager or the complaints department to be told they don't have a complaints department and a team manager can't do anything about the situation. They gave me 14 days to cancel the installation of the broadband at my new address but confirmed it could take up to 14 days for a response (again) about the missing cashback.
I'm bitterly disappointed by thier service.
Felt inclined to cancel the whole thing but it was going to cost more to cancel than for it to continue. I can guarantee though that come the end of the contract in december I will be leaving them.
I'm furious to think that the 14 days are almost up and I still haven't heard a thing and the £75 remains outstanding. Just wondered if anyone else was in the same boat or of anyone had a complaints address so I can take my complaint further.

Sorry to hear about your experience with Plusnet. I think they are owned by BT and I have had very poor service trying to get a reward card from BT.
My complaint is about them honouring their promise to send love2shop vouchers in relation to a broadband deal i purchased through MSE in January. I got the mastercard loaded with £75 ok but for the love2shop voucher I have had to make two formal complaints. With the first complaint at the beginning of march I was told I would have to wait a month. I have just complained again and told I would have to wait another five days for them to investigate. It would appear they rely on apathy to get away with not having to pay out. Again not the service you are entitled to expect and does'nt encourage me to stay with them when the minimum contract ends.
The BT complaints process includes reference to use of the industry ombudsman, see below. so would expect that same or similar timescale would apply to Plusnet as well.
"If it's been eight weeks since you complained and we haven't been able to sort things out, you can refer your complaint to Ombudsman Services: Communications. It's a free, independent service for customers who aren't satisfied with the final outcome of their complaints. You can find out more on their website (opens in a new tab) or by giving them a call on 0330 440 1614. Alternatively, for purchases made online, you can use the Online Dispute Resolution service by visiting http/www. ec. europa. eu /odr.
See BT or Plusnet complaints page. Can't post a link as I am a new user.0
