Ive just found a car park somewhere called Bedfont Lane (anyone know where that is?) its £10 and Im thinking if its a safe enough car park we could park there than get a taxi to the travelodge?

Have you got a link? It is quite a long road from what I remember.

£10 to park, plus taxi? Im sure it would just be easier and cheaper to park at the travelodge

I do agree. I think with these very cheap hotels in urban areas you do just have to swallow the parking charge.

The bedfont lane carpark, which is £11 per day, is the one attached to the travelodge

The travelodge is next to the carpark. You get a discount on parking when you stay at the TL. Tbh the rate isnt that bad. Weve stayed at that TL many times. There r no cheaper carparks in the area and free onstreet parking is non existant. Tbh very few travelodges expect you to leave the car there for long periods, most are aimed at overnight stays, espec feltham as its an ideal location for heathrow, legoland, chessington, etc.

Thank you for the reply, Im a bit confused a I read there was a discount when you stay at the travelodge but it states £3.50 for the first 4 hours then each additional hour at £5 per hour whilst the discount is only £5 so we are still looking at £60 for 12 hours and whilst I am happy to move the car during the morning/afternoon Im not so keen on moving it in the middle of the night.
Ive also done what one of the earlier posters has suggested and contacted someone on the 'Park on my drive' website but may not get a fats enough reply as its such short notice.

On the travelodge website the price for that one shows as £3.50 for 4 hours then £1.50 per additional hour which is better than the Asda one at £5 per additional hour

The bedfont road carpark, is next to the travelodge/asda. Dont park in the openair bit outside asda, go into the multi-storey carpark as its cheaper. You do get £5 discount off parking if staying at travelodge, but i think you have to leave the carpark before 10am to get this. So might be worthwhile driving round the block to get it on both days?

Or just contact travelodge and ask them for help with parking. If your OH is disabled, doesnt his blue badge get you certain dispensations?

Most driveway parking, is £25+ per night and could be quite a distance from the TL. Parking isnt going to be cheap in that area due to the proximity of heathrow

Looks like the carpark has introduced a new system, so the pricing does look worse now. It used to be £11, so with the TL discount we only ever paid £6 for our overnight stay.

What are you planning on doing during the day, before your evening do?

If it's looking really expensive, maybe consider parking a bit further afield - you're right by the train station and also a bus stop. I live two stops from Feltham and would be happy (have done, on many occasions) leaving my car on a side road by the station

First suggestion, phone the Travelodge and ask if there are any concessions for disabled visitors as flea suggests. One I have used has a few parking spaces round the back which it does not mention, and dropping off and check-in spaces at the front. When I've said "I'll just move the car to the car park" I've sometimes been told "Oh it's OK, there's a space round the back, put it there if you like."

Second is whether you can drop your husband off then find somewhere else to park that you can walk back from.

But third is to just accept that there is no cheap parking, so you just swallow the cost and allow for it when making the booking in future.

Hope you can sort it out.
