Parking in Feltham, help needed please

I wasnt sure where to put this so I have posted here and on the motoring thread. Apologies if its the wrong place.
Dont know if anyone can help or not but worth a try.
We have to spend 2 nights in Feltham and have booked into the travelodge.
Today Ive looked at the parking to get an idea and the website shows 2 car parks. One is the local Asda and the other a NCP car park. My husband is disabled and so I have to get him as near as possible to the travelodge even if it means I drop him off then go to find parking.
Its showing pricewise as so much for the first 4 hours and then £5 per hour afterwards. As we will need to park for 12 hours the first night as we will arrive 4ish and dont want to be moving our car till the same time the day after as we are going to an evening do its going to work out massivly expensive. The 2nd night we will be parked around 10-11 hours so in spite of booking early to get a good deal on a room its now looking like its going to cost a lot more to park than for the hotel.
Is anyone familiar with Feltham that can give us a heads up on the most reasonable place to park?

It has been a few years since I have been there, but there really isn't any reasonable parking. There is a big car park near the cinema, but you can only stay for (I think) four hours. I did usually manage to find somewhere to park on the residential streets, but it will be a bit of a walk and it is not the nicest area so I would not do that if you are going to be walking around after dark.0

Thank you for the reply. Thats what worries me really, if I can find somewhere I need to know the car is safe as well. Im wondering if there is somewhere were there is a reasonable car park or even parking at the local Railway Station or somewhere were its easy to park then get a taxi to the travelodge0

PM me if you want me to tell you the streets I used to use, but they are at the other end of the high street and as I said it is not the most genteel of areas. They essentially rebuilt the town a while back and took away a lot of the parking so now you just have the one outside Asda and the little multi-storey next to it. I did used to park in there, but would stick to the lower levels as a lot of teens used to race around there on shopping trolleys!0 -
Can you cancel the booking and change to a hotel which does have parking? Station parking will also be prohibitively expensive, and probably full if you are arriving on a week day.0

I does as we booked in advance to get the low rate for the 2 night, Friday and Saturday so cancelling is not really an option as to get the cheap rate its a 'no refund on cancellation'. Just realised as well that from arriving 4 ish on Friday its more like 24 hours, not 12, that we nee to be parked up for. Its getting worse!
Its because its a 5 hour drive down and with my hubby being disabled he wouldnt be able to travel down and attend the function on the same day.0 -
There are several parking websites where people rent out their driveways. Got work at mo so can't really google, but am sure you'll find something. My BF used to rent out his driveway. I think with 'parkonmydrive.com' or something like that. You can choose the hours and days.
Good luck!

Ive just found a car park somewhere called Bedfont Lane (anyone know where that is?) its £10 and Im thinking if its a safe enough car park we could park there than get a taxi to the travelodge?0

The travelodge is next to the carpark. You get a discount on parking when you stay at the TL. Tbh the rate isnt that bad. Weve stayed at that TL many times. There r no cheaper carparks in the area and free onstreet parking is non existant. Tbh very few travelodges expect you to leave the car there for long periods, most are aimed at overnight stays, espec feltham as its an ideal location for heathrow, legoland, chessington, etc.
The only thing i can suggest is you move the car during the day. You can park on the retail park where the cinema is for 4hrs for free. Asda is a shortstay carpark and you have to buy something instore to get a refund of yr parking. Other than that, i would suggest going for a drive for the day, but then again that costs petrol, so you might as well pay the parking charges0 -

£10 to park, plus taxi? Im sure it would just be easier and cheaper to park at the travelodge0
