Thursday 18th February - What small DFW things will you do today?!

My list for today:
Dog walks x 2 Done
Put stuff away in the loft cupboard that I didn't get to yesterday Not yet
Make a cake Not done
Go through fridge to see what needs using up - probably enough for a soup! Done, made ham and veg soup, plenty for lunch today and tomorrow for both of us
Dismantle the chicken house to take to DDs before I weaken and buy more chickens
Done, phew, hard work! 2 truck loads
HM meals - need to buy a red pepper and some ginger though, for the curry I am going to make for supper Done, curry was gorgeous (weightwatchers chicken jalfrezi if anyone is interested
)
Pop into sales unit at some stage Didn't get there today
Better get on with dog walk #1. Hope you all have a good day
Hi All
Dawn W, No chickens, a crisis of enormous proportions. How will you manage with no chickens.
I'm not sure Maria
But I have been having problems with them lately, including egg eating, despite the best of everything food wise. I put it down to their small run size, so off they have gone to live with DD, who has much more space (and many more chickens
). They looked very happy today when I went over, so I am not sad at all about those particular chickens (years ago a couple of them would have had their necks rung!) but the idea of no more chickens ever
I know it is the right decision though, and can now plan to fill up the space with loads more plants
Mind you, if I should have a premium bond come up enough to buy a house with a big garden, I would have more like a shot!
Ally, great to hear that you have bought a car
Hope you get many years of trouble free service out of it. 0 -

Evening all

I've survived another day - didn't do much, but still a bit grumpy. I think I'm putting this down to sugar detox as I'm trying to cut right back.
Happy new car Ally - hope you enjoy it.
And good news on the family ticket legomum. :Tcrazy_cat_lady wrote: »

Successful day on the list front. I have been thinking about Mother's Day as it's sneaking up. My mam is one of those people who just gets the things she wants as and when she wants them. I have been thinking about knitting or crocheting her a bunch of flowers, but I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not...Not giving up

I wasn't aware of this, thank you. I have always looked for and found geographic or free numbers to use as apose to premium numbers, this should make them easier to find.FCA regulations effective 26 October 2015 require financial services, including banks, card companies and insurance companies, to use numbers starting 01, 02, 03 or 080 for contact by existing customers.
All the nonsense with premium 084 and 087 numbers has largely come to an end. Now is the time to check the official website of every company that you deal with on a regular basis in order to find their new numbers.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

CCL alternatively you could knit or crochet your Mum a flower and turn it into a brooch.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Hi Everyone
Ziggy -how is your mum doing after her op?Ziggy Hope your mums ok.
Mum was the first person in theatre this morning which was good, arranged a taxi to get her there for 7am (as had to sort DS out) but taxi picked her up early and she was outside waiting from 6.10, lovely man took her inside and got her a cuppa and somewhere warm to sit - she met him again in theatre he was the anaesthetist. The lump had gone further into the muscle than they thought and they have gone further up her arm towards her shoulder. Results (as to whether cancerous or not) within the next few weeks - looks like a further op may be needed for further down her arm as more lumps
Had her here for the day and then we received a phone call which rocked our world yet again - my brother has taken a turn for the worse and its looking like he has hours/days rather than a couple of years, he is in the Cancer Hospital and he is scared, frightened but knows he is dying - heartbreaking, took mum to see him - she wanted to stay the night (with his wife and daughter) but I honestly believe she isn't well enough, she's in a lot of pain with her arm and extremely tired and a hard plastic chair isn't going to do her any good. We will go back as soon as they call - hope that doesn't make me sound uncaring - I am torn
Will try to pop in and as I can but these are difficult days
Love to you all, hug your loved ones close.

Ziggy What a long and hard day you and your family have been having. I think bring you Mum home was the right thing to do, she needs looking after and you SIL and niece will have other things on their minds at present. I am sorry for the news regarding your brother and I hope your Mums diagnosis is benign.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
