Quick update:
Newer car purchased in heavy rainstorm. Hideously complicated morning. First garage told me to come look at car this morning...I showed up and they said it was no longer for sale. Second garage too dodgy. Third garage bought car and am pleased with it but have to take back on Monday for three minor fixes at no extra cost.
Now to get it home and spend the afternoon doing all the documentation and so on. Then to straighten out finances and talk to OH about her making a contribution to the household finances now she has some income.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -

Firstly welcome back Brettson.
So, the list continues:
* Encourage OH to shop around for new headphones.
* Repaired scarf using supplies from scrap material box.
* Filed away all important paperwork. Unfiled paperwork has cost me money in the past when I've forgotten to renew important things.
* Called car insurer and negotiated a deal on new car insurance. Did not call 0845 number, called 0800 number.
* Declared old car SORN and set up new road tax Direct Debit which is cheaper than road tax on old car.
* Called breakdown cover to notify them of car change. No charge to change. If you want cheap breakdown cover I recommend StartRescue. (Link) Their prices are way cheaper than the AA and RAC. I think it was DNM who recommended this service to me.
* I think we will eBay our digital photo frame. We never ever use it despite OH's love of Photogra-faffing. It's been turned on once in two years.
* Only hoovered the parts of the house that needed it.
* Refilled pill box with prescription to prevent forgetting pills which would make me ill and result in time off work.
* Clear out my notepad for improved efficiency.
* Yay: £2.50 of Nectar Points to spend.
* Withdrew £1.18 Quidco.

Evening Everybody :hello:
A very late posting from me today. I have done the following:
NSD
Went for a walk (free exercise)
Enjoyed another day off work, back to it tomorrow
Spoke to Building Society to make sure I was doing the right thing with my savings. Yep.
Had a chat with my counsellor to pick up where we'd left off. She has been brilliant. Really need her advice and guidance right now.
Dinner is cooking as ever all meals from the cupboards. I was tempted for a take-away but resisted. Lent can be a very long time when you're not feeling 100%
:rotfl:
All in all an ok day. Hope everyone has had a lovely day.

Money scares me.
Honesty update will arrive shortly......:o0 -
FCA regulations effective 26 October 2015 require financial services, including banks, card companies and insurance companies, to use numbers starting 01, 02, 03 or 080 for contact by existing customers.* Called car insurer and negotiated a deal on new car insurance. Did not call 0845 number, called 0800 number.
All the nonsense with premium 084 and 087 numbers has largely come to an end. Now is the time to check the official website of every company that you deal with on a regular basis in order to find their new numbers.0
