Curve Card

I have had my curve card for the two weeks and i am delighted in how it has worked. I have linked it to my virgin AMEX and used it daily for an array of shopping, online and instores.
There was one issue with a double charge but this was rectified without me even noticing it, it was only for a small amount.
I am off to America next month so will see how it holds out there but all in all it seems to work very well, and will let me run up my 10k limit on virgin to get my upgrade.
Hopefully the loyalty scheme they bring out will be worth it
Though bear in mind the rewards from your credit card will need to be worth more than 1% to justify using Curve above the likes of Halifax Clarity in the US.0 -
HI, Sorry if I've missed this somewhere I've looked through the thread and not found an answer.
My questions is this, When you make a payment using curve mastercard (which it states is a pre-paid mastercard) does the retailer see it as a debit or creditcard transaction?
I have a large payment coming up for which debit cards incur no fee but credit cards do, hence my reason for wishing to know how the card is defined.
Thanks
My District Council sees it as a credit card, and offers to accept it and apply a surcharge as such!0 -
If I withdraw the £200 out in dribs and drabs over a month and lodge it back into my current account, is there any way Curve can see this transaction?if i had known then what i know now0

I just tried to pay with Amex in Cafe Rouge, but they've had a problem with Amex for three weeks and my card was erroneously rejected. So I opened the Curve app, changed the card to my desired Amex card, and paid contactlessly with Curve. Problem solved.0

Update on the declined/duplicate charges I've had recently, which were charged to my Amex anyway - all have been refunded by Curve, their communication hasn't been great, but it's all been sorted. The card in general is working quite well, few glitches as to be expected from a Beta, but I've been having less issues than I get with the Travelex Supercard.
It's just occurred to me that, since I signed up with a referral code, myself and the referrer should have received a £10 credit - has anyone else received said credit yet? My referrer runs a certain miles and points website, so I've no idea whether he's received his half yet!0 -
I think the £10 credit is for the reward program which is been launched later so not really a credit3.6Kwh PV System, Lg Panels , Growatt Inverter South Facing, 23 deg Roof Facing, Stoke on Trent0

Steve is totally right, the credits will be added to your loyalty account later this year; you know you can't trust what Curve have said in the past.
Better they pay out the rewards when they can afford it, then they pay it out now and close down!0 -

Curve uses the exchange rate on the day as opposed to the settlement day. So on occasions Curve could be better anyway and its a gamble either way.0
