The terms and conditions should have been available before applying for the card.

For me the card is useless. Will be emailing them to cancel the application. Its not due to be despatched until mid May anyway.

Did the email you get with your dispatch date not say it was being sent first class? Mine did, but my card hasn't been dispatched.
    The wording was:
Your Curve card has now been dispatched and should be with you within a week.

We've also taken payment for your Curve. Here are the full details of your order.
followed by partial Amex card details and my delivery address.

I got a mail entitled Your Curve Batch details, which said Your Curve card is being processed, packaged and is scheduled to be dispatched in May, sent first class.

It's fascinating if they were dispatching early cards via a different (slower) method that took almost a whole week.

I guess they were carefully managing the process to take cash from as many pre-orders as they could produce, get them in the post via a slow method, and introduce a restriction on Amex ATM usage (its raison d'etre after all) to kick in the day before everyone got their cards.

The thread linked above says the blogger is being paid 50k from Curve which may well be why he says not to cancel your orders! People who followed his advice and didn't cancel are now left with a card that doesn't do what it was promised to do.

Yes, that's about a future despatch, which everyone has probably received by now. The e-mail I quoted above is about a despatch that has purportedly already been done.

There was already a restriction on AMEX ATM usage, it just wasn't clarified. How them being in the post via a "slow method" would make the slightest difference to their conspiracy I have no idea. It's now no use to me given I'm moving abroad shortly so wouldn't be able to get my money's worth before I leave, but you can still make a decent profit at only £200 a month. For my card that would be 3000 avios + £2400 of manufactured spend per year, indefinitely, for a one of £35 charge.

Not that AMEX ATM usage has ever been its raison d'etre. It may be the feature people like the most, but it has always been restricted and was never prominently advertised (that I saw anyway) - it's always shop usage they're promoting. In fact, it would make no sense whatsoever for the main purpose of the card to be something that loses them money...

The cash withdrawal manufactured spend won't work any more, but all the other benefits of Curve apply equally for non-GBP cards. For example, I've added my EUR and USD denominated Amex cards to my Curve account, and they assure me that they'll recognise the billing currency of the card via the BIN/IIN and charge transactions to each card in its billing currency.

I received an e-mail on Monday 18th saying that my card had been despatched and should be with me within a week. It has still not arrived today. What means of delivery are they using that takes up to a week to be delivered? It's implausible.
My card in fact arrived yesterday, but because it is sent in a box several hundred times the size of the card, it didn't fit through my letterbox and the concierge took it from the postman and didn't tell me until today.

Although I don't have Tesco current a/c but the transaction limit only applied to credit cards. If you have a Tesco debit card you can earn club card points when withdrawing money.
