Which I totally agree with you, until the day the new box can into play and the three houses in this field, coming off the same pole, from the same connection underground, all lost connection untill open reach came back the following day - and reconnected us all on the new box
My road is over 8 miles long, its farm land. Theres very few houses on it. The original green box serving us was two miles up the road. They upgraded that over a year ago. Last year they added the new box -:measured today - less then half a mile from my house and thats when my neighbours and myself were sent letters from NI fasterbroadband, that we could now upgrade to infinity
They have all been able too, my mother is she so wishes can
Im the only !!!!er in the whole road who cant
So please please please, dont tell me Im the only wire thats not been shifted cos that really doesnt ring true0 -

I thought Openreach declined to enter into dialogue with customers and just refer them to their provider? You could try contacting Openreach directly through this form: http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/faq/contact-us-form.aspx
It even says at the top of that form that if the query is about an existing line then they should contact their provider.0 -

No, it doesn't say that. It says 'If your query is about an existing broadband service please contact your Communications Provider.' An existing broadband service isn't the same as an existing line (which can support both a voice service and broadband service).
This link is published on the public-facing Superfast Fibre Broadband website. The query isn't about an existing broadband service (the OP has ADSL broadband). The OP wants FTTC (so not an existing service), and one of the drop-down list options towards the bottom of the form even fits with the OP's query - 'Why can't I get fibre broadband?'
Anyway, I was only suggesting this as an alternative avenue that the OP could explore. They might not help - depends on whether the person on the other end is paid just to send generic responses or whether they can investigate. I only suggest it as trying to get your existing provider to get Openreach to investigate record anomalies can be a difficult task.0 -
When I had a problem with my number not being recognised but others being fine I emailed the BT CEO email which is handled by a team for CEO complaints. You'll have to google for the current email as this site has a downer on publishing either it of the obvious site to find it. I've had posts about this deleted in the past for some very obscure reason. My issue got sorted out reasonably quickly and I was able to order. Not that it did me much good - http://www.idontbelieveit.me.uk/computer-says-no/0
