Can you limit new users to 1 post per hour (or something similar to that) ......... this may put a halt on the mass spam attacks and give regular members the chance to click the SPAM button to get them removed from the forums

YOU are not meant to read it, it is understood by millions elsewhere though, this spam is not aimed at the people that use the forum.
When you understand that you should get even more annoyed at MSE Towers for allowing it to happen.
