Has anyone headed out with the kids to visit their nearest bluebell woods?

We have several carpets of them in the forests near us. I need to get there soon before they stop flowering!

Well, I didn't keep this updated very well did I? :rotfl:

MSE Matt joined our team as our new forum and social media manager in April so I've been focused on other things!

2016 turned out to be a very positive year and we made the decision to relocate to a totally different part of the country.

We haven't moved yet, we're working on it, but we're heading to the most beautiful part of the country (imho), where I grew up, so my kids can spend more time with their English gran (the other is in Japan but generally sees them more than English gran because she's younger and can travel a bit more).

We've been overpaying our mortgage since interest rates first started heading downwards all those years ago. Combine that with our rate (one of them) being 0.23% above base rate and we're now lucky enough to have have almost 50% equity.

Where we're heading is on the whole cheaper than where we are now and we might downsize too to claw back more of our equity.

We'll be near the seaside and trying to be "eco" as I can I'm looking forward to taking part in lots of 2 minute beach cleans with them.

I'm also hoping to, finally, get my own chickens and have promised a dog for the girls (I'm more a cat person - wish me luck!)
