I agree, as I said to Glad I don't want to talk to her (presuming Glad is female ) as only she and me would know the questions and answers if a public announcement was made then everyone who reads the forum would know the answer to why threads are being closed.

Posts and threads are deleted so we're no longer "publishing" them. You may have posted it, but once we're made aware of it - we may become legally liable too, as the publisher. When something is deleted, it's removed from public view but it's still viewable by the Forum Team and can be reinstated if it needs to be. It won't show up in a forum search.

We never contact people when their posts are deleted. The sheer number of posts removed every day means it's simply impossible to contact everyone.

The Forum Team won't respond to aggressive emails demanding to know why a post/thread's been removed but if you send a polite email asking, it may review or explain the decision where possible (sometimes legal reasons prevent this). If you're still unhappy, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com

If you disagree with a Forum Team decision, please email your appeal to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.

Please don't question Forum Team decisions on the public forum; they're unlikely to see your post anyway. This includes criticising individual members of staff. It's our job as an employer to protect our staff. Any such posts shall be removed, and the appropriate action taken.

Just to add, the Forum Team don't have a crystal ball, they respond to reports and deal with any thread breaking MSE Rules appropriately

now that the above rule re posting and copyright has been brought to the board's attention it may prompt more people to report breaches of this rule too
