I think the forum team should post their answer here so everyone can read it and know what the rulings are.:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -

Glad obviously corresponds with them though. So they must be aware of what is being discussed.:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

I agree, as I said to Glad I don't want to talk to her (presuming Glad is female) as only she and me would know the questions and answers if a public announcement was made then everyone who reads the forum would know the answer to why threads are being closed.

I copy and paste an anonymous post from Social Media saying...
Whoop whoop, :j:j woo woo :T:T I would love to win your feather duster, what a fantastic prize you are so generous:D
That post is deleted!!
Fanny Adams comes along and copies and pastes the competition post from Social media to win the feather duster.
That post stays!!
What is the difference? So to ask my question again..
Is there any difference to me copying and pasting a quote from Social Media to here than to someone copying and pasting a competition from Social Media to here?
It is a genuine question because I really don't know what we are doing that is "wrong"WeAreGhosts wrote: »I think it would be best to email the forum team and ask.
as WeAreGhosts says ^^^
read the rules that you agree to when you register to this helpful FREE site, then follow them
I've highlighted relevant parts below in case you missed them the last 2 times I posted the rules for you
MSE Forum Rules
Posts and threads are deleted so we're no longer "publishing" them. You may have posted it, but once we're made aware of it - we may become legally liable too, as the publisher. When something is deleted, it's removed from public view but it's still viewable by the Forum Team and can be reinstated if it needs to be. It won't show up in a forum search.
We never contact people when their posts are deleted. The sheer number of posts removed every day means it's simply impossible to contact everyone.
The Forum Team won't respond to aggressive emails demanding to know why a post/thread's been removed but if you send a polite email asking, it may review or explain the decision where possible (sometimes legal reasons prevent this). If you're still unhappy, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com
If you disagree with a Forum Team decision, please email your appeal to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.
Please don't question Forum Team decisions on the public forum; they're unlikely to see your post anyway. This includes criticising individual members of staff. It's our job as an employer to protect our staff. Any such posts shall be removed, and the appropriate action taken.I am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. Just to add, the Forum Team don't have a crystal ball, they respond to reports and deal with any thread breaking MSE Rules appropriately
now that the above rule re posting and copyright has been brought to the board's attention it may prompt more people to report breaches of this rule tooI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards.
