$10+ a day Neobux Challenge 2016

Just my memory of you saying a while back that you'd sit at 500 until you got Ultimate, but then changed that to 750. lol.
tbh though I was looking at the neobux forum earlier and seems that quite a few people have somewhere between 1000 - 2000 before going for Ultimate.

I'd a nosy at page 1 of this thread today too and it seemed to say 24th March was a likely date for a promotion, so perhaps in the next few hours something will appear. Fingers crossed it does, especially if you have 80 of them to extend.
I need to extend 10 before tomorrow sometime, but will hold off another few hours in case a promo comes in.

What does Ultimate usually go for in the New Year promo if that's what you are aiming for?
Maybe I'll be able to consider it the following year...

Edited to say: I did find time to look at my referrals in the handy referrals manager, so at present decided to recycle 6 of them, though I know there are more that probably need recycling. Going to take it easy until I figure out exactly what I'm doing there though.

With the referrals manager thing.....the next thing you probably need to look at is the filter. You can alter it to look for refs that have not clicked for x amount of days and other things that you may want to look out for.

This for me brings up refs that have on first glance a good average but then when you look at their recent activity they are not so good.

I tend to recycle any that have three lots of red figures showing.

After a while you get a gut feeling for who you should keep and who you should get rid of.

I only use page one of filter......didnt really understand page 2 so if you look at it and have any ideas.....do let me know.

I did notice the filter thing, but tbh wasn't too sure how to go about using it. Makes sense though to use especially with the more RR that you have. Don't think I'll have enough time this weekend to look at it, but will try to figure it out (at least to get started) sometime next week.
And of course - will let you know if I get anywhere with page 2.

Have just noticed on neobux that right now they are in the midst of changing the logo, presumably to reflect the 9 years, so hopefully not too long till there's a promo.
Right now it's greyed out until half-way through the letter u in neobux and the word "years" has been put under. It definitely wasn't like that a few hours ago.
:doh:Just realised that the grey half-way through wasn't them working on something - They have quite cleverly done 9 using the half of the letter u and the x to write IX, which is obviously equivalent to 9 in Roman numerals.

Have just used all my funds except $3 to extend 116 refs :j

My time for buying refs isnt till later today and I may be out so will have to leave it till tomorrow to make my account a round 750.

Now I need to have a look at recycling. Havent done any in a week thinking the money is better saved for promo but averages have really dropped so will go have a look.

Nice to see that promo is on till 30th so chance to get a few more done yet. :j

Did feel a little stupid though for thinking that they were working on something once I figured it out. In my defence though, I did notice that they had changed the logo before putting on the promo. Well done you on extending 116 RR. That should give you a bit of breathing space.
I only managed 16 with what I had, but not intending buying any more RR until probably after the next promo, which I think should be end of April, so hopefully then I can do like you have done.
I will though obviously make as much use of this promo as possible - I've 24 needing extended within the next 20 days, so even if I can get a good few of those done. Fingers crossed the extra mini ads stay for a bit as obviously that will help.

Good luck on your recycling mission. Difficult to know exactly what's for the best as obviously recycling costs money.

Went to look at referrals manager and doh..........had forgotten to upload stats to it for two days so just did 7 from my info on the neo visualization filter.

Yay :j At last!! After missing my slot for purchasing refs last week and then only being able to rent Weds to Sun (which I had forgotten about) I have finally just rented my last 3 refs to take me to 750 refs.

So...........next stage?

I'm not sure what to do?

I really would like to start the journey next week with my weekly purchase of 10 refs but have just had a look at the increase in extending costs.

Above 750 refs each referral jumps from 1.23 to 1.29 to extend for 240 days.

There will be another discount day at end of April so do I save as much as I can to extend as many as I can at the 1.23 (1.20) rate or do I just get on with my plans to reach 1000?

Hmmm come on Gromit..........which do you think I will go for?

I hadn't actually realised about the extra costs the more RR that you have. Guess I would have found out about it had I stepped over the 250 :rotfl:
I'm sure I would have noticed it at some point in the past, but forgotten about until you mentioned extending your referrals jumping from 1.23 to 1.29 once you go above 750.
Have just gone and looked at the table on the neobux help page, so now understand when the price increases happen (and the amount).

Also just looked at page 1 of this thread and after the expected promo at the end of April, there isn't another expected until around Halloween.
Therefore, it may be more sensible to go with your suggestion of saving as much as possible before then to avoid the increase in the extension costs when you go above the 750.
It's not very long until end of April anyway, but a huge gap from then until Halloween.
Just thinking also, if you didn't want to fall behind on your extending 10RR per week, would it be possible once the promo at the end of April ends to extend by 20RR for 4 or 5 weeks and then drop back to 10RR - That way you should hopefully be at the same number, but on a lower cost to you if you see what I mean.

And you pointing those increases in RR costs out has caused me to be determined to stick with my plan of saving as much as possible before end of April and only start extending after then.

It's all a minefield - figuring out what to do for the best.

Haven't yet been back to recycling RR as wanted to use money for the promo as much as possible, but will go back to looking at recycling and trying to get better number of clicks after promo ends.
