Parcelhero Issue

Hi All, not sure if the right place.
2 weeks ago i used parcelhero to send 5 allow wheels with tyres attached, i placed a single sheet of thin cardboard on either side and wrapped them in a black bag as never had an issue doing it this way. I measured the packages as accurate as i could and the measurements i did was 65cm x 65cm, 30cm and 20kg I was quoted £45,83, which was great, slightly cheaper than another courier.
2 weeks later i have received a weight adjustment email from parcel force saying my dimensions are incorrect and the true dimensions are 82.0cm x 74.0cm x 30.0cm and weigh 30kg each, quite a difference. a 20" tyrel measures 66.04cm in diameter so i was slightly out and if you had on a small piece of cardboard and a black bag, it doesn't quite come to 84cm, and trying to charge me an additional £57.00.
Anyways the email states they can remove the funds from my account unless i can provide evidence of the dimensions which i quoted, which i could probably do with a bit of hassle however it needs to have on the label that was printed, which was binned by the chap who received the items, so i can't prove my item weighed and measured to my sizes and they said they don't need to prove that my item weighed their sizes as its stated in the t's and c's, so its a lose, lose for me and a win win for them.
I have spoken with my bank and they advised i cancel my card.

After speaking with the very rude advisor today from parcelhero, she basically said unless i can provide evidence about the sizes i need to pay, she said regardless of my bank saying they can stop any payment being removed parcelforce have the right to take the funds, she even accused me of lying to try and save myself money.
I read one review that a chap bought a table online, manufacturer weight was 38kg + 4kg packaging , he received a email staing he was due them more money as the table in fact weight 528kg, over half a tonne for a kitchen table.
Do i have a leg to stand on? I can't provide the evidence as the packing is long gone.2x £5 JD Voucher

You said yourself your measurements were wrong, proved by the specs of the tyre.
Is the weight also incorrect? (Did you send them as 5 separate parcels and they are disputing all 5?)!0 -
Yes, they are stating all 5 are wrong and each item has a different dimension. My measurements were out slightly , but not almost 15cm.2x £5 JD Voucher

The problem is you cannot prove your measurements, by your own admission the proof you have is of the tyres being more than your measurements (albeit only a little)
Did you measure the pieces of cardboard you placed over them? I assume they were slightly larger than the type and placed over as, say the bread in a sandwich?
Were they attached to the tyre? Could they have slid out in opposite directions in the bag thus making the package longer?0 -

So they round these up - how identical were the packed items? You're got a 10 cm swing on one side and a 4 on the other, but they dont correlate to each other.
If these were totally identical I would query the lack of accuracy with Parcel Force - they use auto dimming solutions to get the dims, these are usually extremely accurate - this sort of variance is either a) your packaging was far from consistent or b) their scanners aren't calibrated right (this is far less likely the cause)0 -

This is Parcelhero not Parcel Force, do they do the same thing (I've never heard of them so I've no idea)?0 -
Sorry i should have said how i packaged them, each item is exacly same size, i cut out 1 cardboard circle that fit over the centre of the wheel and used that as a template for the other 9, but not the tyre, so no over hang from the cardboard as it was less than 20" in diameter, then each one had a black bag wrapped round it tighly and then cellotaped.
I sent the exact same wheel with same dimensions via parcelforce last december with no issues at all, reading the reviews on google this seems to be an occuring thing with parcelforce.
Thanks for replies folks2x £5 JD Voucher

ParcelHero are a parcel reseller. They are not a courier. They are like Expedia is to travel.
The OP says they were contacted by Parcel Force about the measurement, so its assumed they were the carrier the OP was introduced to using through the Parcelhero interface.0
