    :hello: Good morning everyone!

Hope you're all well. :) It's another beautiful day here -
similar to yesterday - mix of sun and cloud but the sun
    is winning. :D

 wingo ... hope you get the car back soon - nothing
worse than being without it, especially as the kids are off
    for Easter too. :p

If you make it to the seaside have a brilliant time!

Good morning all, wet here too today, I think it is pretty general across the country at the moment.

Sorry the weather is stopping you getting good views Sheils and hope it brightens up later for you.

Lets hope you can get the car fixed soon Wingo and hope you manage to get to the seaside while the children are off school.

Enjoy your day with the GS leanfun and hope you other DD manages to come too.

Thanks for the lovely pics again fiefly & Alfie, not your kind of weather is it when you can't get out in the gardens.

Hope you are feeling better now Rose.

Hi anyone else passing through, have a lovely day.

    Afternoon
It was lovely here this morning till about half hour ago then the heavens opened up.I went into work for a few hours this morning after getting a phone call. Luckily i put the washing out at 6.30 then got it in as soon as i got home so that stayed dry. I just had a strange phone call from a lady from Country Living, asking why i wouldn't take a parcel in last week. Didn't know what she was on about. I should have had an email saying congrats on winning a bird feeder then when the delivery man tried to deliver it i refused delivery...First i have heard of it. I assured her i never got the email and wouldn't turn a parcel away not even for a neighbour if they were out. I told her myself or my son is usually in so she is going to send it again. She had the right address so sounds like the delivery bloke is telling fibs. Just got to wait till next week now and see if it gets delivered again.

Oh what a shame not having an email Indie. I hope it comes this week, it was good of them to ring you up. Keep us posted. Glad you managed to get your washing dry and in before the rain.

Most strange Indie. Good thing you were home when they phoned. As you say must be the delivery man. They do very strange things. Anyway hope it turns up next week and congrats on the win.

Here just sat down with a coffee. We made it to Crystal Palace Park. I have never seen so many people there. So many mums with pushchairs. We were lucky to find a parking space in second car park. Also lucky with weather it started spitting with rain and then stopped. Thankfully it's a really big park. So many children in play area but have to say it was not very noisey. Great to see them enjoying themselves. GS had great time.

Thanks Firefly. GS is into dinosaurs in a very big way, as was his mother.
Crystal Palace has the first life size dinosaur models ever created, in 1854.
I might have already told you last year GS had us looking for a Diplodocus there but he had seen it somewhere else. In fact Diplodocus were only discovered in 1877!

It must have been a very grand place in 1854 when the Cyrstal palace (exhibition of 1851) was moved from Hyde Park to here and opened by Queen Victoria. Plus the railway station was also created here that year.

The Crystal Palace burnt down in 1936. The park now has a small animal farm run as a training centre. Alongside it is the old National athletics track and Olympic size swimming pool.

We are lucky to have lots of open green spaces not too far from us. Great to see so many people enjoying themselves for free today.

Morning peeps. Been up half the night. Knees are as bad as ever and it is driving me up the wall. Left knee feels as if it is on fire. The heat that is in it is unbelievable. Anyway enough moans painkillers will kick in shortly. Off to put kettle on and have a nice cuppa. Have a great day everyone.
