Sorry you have had a rough day AprilLady, its awful when they mess you about like that. Hope they come and sort it out tomorrow, unusual them coming on a Bank Holiday.

Glad you managed to chat to your DS and DIL today leanfun, Skype is a wonderful thing when you have family far away like that.

Hope you have all had a good day. enjoy your evening.
BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS

    :hello: Good morning everyone!

    graphics-flowers-169311.gif

I hope you're all well on this glorious Good Friday. :)

We had a bit of wet stuff late yesterday afternoon though it
wasn't too bad! Apparently today the sun is going to show
itself and stay with us all day - yay!

    smileys-sunbathing-447880.gif

I will make the most of the weather today cos apparently
tomorrow it's not looking too good.

Hope your parcel arrived ok yesterday Becks :D - hate it
when that sort of thing happens.

Hope your DHs eye test went well sheils. :)

Oh dear leanfun, carrying on with the 'specs' theme :p I
hope your DHs eye test went well and that he managed to get
    his new glasses ordered!

It's lovely to catch up with family via technology especially
if they live far away. I don't use Skype now I have FaceTime
(like fire**fly) - keeps me in regular touch with my lovely
family and they can keep an eye on me and check that I'm
not up to anything untoward! As if ...... :rotfl::rotfl:

sylv - I love Amarilis - it's great that yours is sprouting again -
fingers n' paws crossed it will flower - I agree - stunning
    plants. :)

Sorry to hear about your dreadful day yesterday April with
the workman! What a waste of your day! Hope he turns up
today and completes the work. Feel free to come into the
Inn and rant, we all feel better for letting off a bit of
    steam now and again! :p

Hope you've caught up after your power cut last night
fire**fly - it's sooooo annoying when that happens!

Hope you all have a wonderful day whatever your plans -
I will catch up later. :)

    Good Morning,

Sun shining away and supposed to be a lovely day. The rain did stop yesterday afternoon and we managed a nice walk.
DH's eye test went fine thanks, just his regular annual one. He just managed to catch the bus back as appointment was late or he would have had a long wait and come back grumpy!
Nothing much happening here as DD and DS2 are working all weekend and although DS3 is on holiday he is going to visit a friend in Glasgow.
I just tend to keep in touch with my two absent sons on Whatsapp. Have never tried FaceTime although have tried Skype. Suppose it is different when you have grandchildren to see.
Hope everyone has a lovely, lucky day.

Hello all parcel arrived fine but had to ring bank and cancel my card as it had been used fradulently. Caught it very early luckily so hadn't emptied account. Annoyed as always so careful and with it being easter and no post will have to wait longer for new card.

Oh yes edit to say the site I believe it is probably from had a couple of other posts yesterday about same thing happening and they have all mysteriously vanished (not before i managed to take screenshots of a couple of comments)

    Sunny here now.

Ho Becks so pleased you spotted fradulent use of card. It's so upsetting and inconvenient.

Aprill hope today goes better than yesterday with workman. Hope he completes shower for you.

FireFly the power cut must have been so frustrating. As you say anytime seems forever when you have no power. I don't know how people manage in countries where the power frequently goes down.

We have Skype on Our TV. Over last few years we use FaceTime to talk to friends in Madeira. They live in a very mountainous area and Skype was very unreliable but FaceTime is brilliant. It's odd how they have good internet connections when parts of UK internet is very poor.

Sylvia, pleased your DH's eye test went well and that he made it to bus. Mine has to wait about week for new glasses and is getting two pairs. His spares now are prescription sun glasses.

Indie hope you enjoy your day off.

When I told DD1 about online shopping and we now had loads of veg her reaction was shall we come around? So I think it's roast dinner on Sunday.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
