No wins here either Rose, I'm sure one of us in the inn must be due a win! C'mon...let's have an inner winner! :p

Started raining here too last couple of hours. Looks like we're all in for a cold and wet February.

Sheils, I meant to reply to your post about you staying our way. My cousin from London stayed there and although it's above a shopping centre he said it was nice and comfy and wasn't noisy. There is an art gallery, water fountains and a big metal 'bottle of notes' structure next to it beside a duck pond! It's quite a nice area round centre square as sometimes they have little shows on around the area. If you're after shopping in Primark, it's in the other shopping centre where Debenhams is. I'm sure you will find it. Plenty of pound shops and bargain shops too! I'm wondering what my hours will be at work as could have met up for coffee. :)
I know what you mean about the excess on insurance, when ours was so expensive on renewal I asked why it had gone up so much and was told because there had been burglaries in the area! So basically, I was paying more for other people's break ins! I soon cancelled it and found a better deal.

Lovely pics everyone :A I haven't put any on in ages, think I've forgot how to work this iPad! :D
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

Well we got through January! Never liked that month but we did manage a few little breaks and the weather was fine so can't complain this year.
No WEMSs here either although IHG has paid me 2,500 points for playing their Xmas advent game so better than nothing.
DS2 says his cafe is getting busier every day so is really happy. Last Friday he says he didn't have a spare table most of the day so they were shattered by night. People are ordering more now they know the food is good, think a lot started by just having a coffee to suss it out.

Thanks for infoWingo, always wanted to see the bottle of notes statue. Saw it is a brochure once. Would be lovely to meet up for coffee if you have time. We are meaning to be in the town all day Wednesday 8th to explore as we have never been in the centre before. We have stayed near the hospital a few times and been on the Transporter Bridge but that is all.

Some great pics yesterday FF and Alfie, thank you.

Wishing everyone a lucky February. Who will get the first win? (Bet it isn't me!)

:hello: Good morning everyone - wishing you all a very
happy and lucky start to February. :)

It's still raining my way .....

    graphics-rain-049329.gif

... though thankfully only light rain and it's going to be
brighter this afternoon - then apparently for the remainder
of the week things go pear shaped with heavy rain and
'potentially' strong winds on Friday! :D

 Love the word 'potentially' being used. :rotfl::rotfl: May
have to batten down the hatches .... or maybe not - will have
    to wait and see! :p

Wonderful to hear how well your DS2's cafe is doing sheils ...
you must be so proud of him and rightly so. :T :j

I can say .... hand on heart and without any doubt ..... that I
will most definitely not be the first in the Inn to have a
win - going by my record of lack of wins of late! Really must
    try harder! ecrire-ordi.gif

Have a lovely and lucky day all and take care. :)

Just saw the most awfull thing in town concerning the public. A young guy was having a fit and people were just walking past. What on earth? I was so angry. Went over to put him in to the recovery position when fit stopped and shouted at the top of my voice for someone to phone an Ambulance. He was so dazed as it was a major seizure. When they came they thanked me for helping and this woman came over and asked me if he was ok. It took all my willpower not to start on her and say Oh now you care. You didn't care when he was fitting. What is it with the public nowadays? Rant over.

Turned out a lovely afternoon here so had a nice walk. Wish I had done some washing earlier as the sun was quite strong and it was a bit windy.

Great you helped the guy rose. Always wish I knew more about what to do when things happen. Must get DD to show me the recovery position, have a fair idea but must check.

I won a T-shirt in the new Wychwood comp but lots of people seemed to be winning so I'm not sure it was right or if site was faulty. Will see anyway.

_pale_ Thank goodness you were there rose :A to help the
poor guy when he was having a major seizure.

A similar situation happened many years ago - a young
woman was having a seizure in Woolworth's and everyone
was just standing by watching her! I dived in to
assist and put her in the recovery position etc and thankfully
    she was fine.

It beggars belief that certain people are still so ignorant when
this type of thing occurs! Whether it's fear and not knowing
what to do .... I just don't know.

Well done Rose. As you say can't believe people just look on.

Sheils so pleased for your son. Quality speaks out or something like that. If you have a great product people will buy. Well done to your DS and partner.

Well it rained here on and off all day. No sooner had the rain cleared then it started again.

We are picking up GS today and tomorrow. It's takes up a lot of time. We need to leave here about 2.30 for 3.20 pick up. The car journey can be 20 minutes but at that time it takes about 40 minutes or more. Well we just made it in time today but after picking up GS realised we had left DD2s Keys at home! We went to a Garden Centre near school that has a soft play area and then brought him home to our house.
Usually DD2 is home by 7 and we are home by 7.45 - 8.00. It was even later today.

Good luck everyone for Feb. Hope someone in the Inn has an EOM win.
