Brr was -1 here this morning when we took the children to school. Sun out now so should warm up. We are meeting my brother and niece for some lunch.

DS was just well enough yesterday to make the car journey back. At one point we thought we were going to have to leave him at our house. Sadly he missed a lot of his son's 8th birthday. We look GS over to DD1 and the three GKs had a great time together for his birthday.

As Indie said bad time for bugs hopefully this cold spell will kill them off. Hope all your family well soon Sylvia.

Sheils fish and chips sounded good. Have a good time.

Just had a strange thing. I sat down with a cup of coffee and opened ipad where I had left off comping yesterday. Thought I'd check that I'd entered everything I wanted to for today. Went to do a Comp and from that site must have put my thumb down and ended up did I want !!!!!!! Saw some pics I didn't want to see. Well I shut that down quick and came on here.

Let's hope for some good wins in Jan for everyone.

Hope you're all ok. It was brrrrrr here first thing this
morning - Jack Frost had paid a visit through the night too

Must say though it looked absolutely beautiful. The sun has
been shining away - I've been out for a glorious wander -
I do tend to take the area for granted so all it takes is a
stroll to remind myself how lucky I am!

leanfun - your 'incident' with iPad reminded me of when I
innocently googled Alice in Wonderland and ended up seeing
a load of drug sites! :eek::eek: Think it was to do with the
hookah-smoking caterpillar. :eek:

Your break sounds lovely sheils, hope you had a great
morning shopping and enjoy your walk this afternoon.

I could do with giving my place a good clean too fire**fly
but unfortunately *sigh* I've got a huge pile of the
dreaded ironing to tackle before I start on anything else
that's my chore for this afternoon!

Must go and make myself a cuppa before I make a start!

Afternoon, I have done that as well leanfun, googled musclemen (as a friends brother had won a strongman contest) the muscles they showed were not the ones i wanted to see..lol. Shut down the pc for a while after that.Glad you are enjoying your break sheils. We had a hard frost here this morning, but sun came out and it went pretty quick. I came home to 2 wins, won a remote control mouse on Sixtyplusurfers and had a great win on the Take a break mag, A DVD player, Secret Life of Pets DVD, Secret Life of Pets toys and Energizer goodies. Well pleased with those.

Indie well done on your wins. GKs watched this DVD the other day and were laughing their heads off. I was in kitchen at time. They said it's funny but scary in parts.

Had a good meet up with brother and niece and her children in a cafe for lunch and it did warm up after such a cold start this morning.

re the birds, sometimes it takes a couple of weeks before
the birds start coming to the table until they're sure it's
safe & quiet,
when I first set ours up iirc it was 2-3 weeks they gradually
appeared each day even though they had other feeding
stations around the complex think it's like all animals just
time & patience & gradually they learn to trust to
know the food will be there reg.

It's a bit of a strange weather day here though not
chilly - one minute it's sunny, the next it's cloudy - can't
seem to make up its mind!

The ironing was only half finished fire**fly - trouble is
I'm so easily distracted - especially when tackling boring
chores!

Well done on getting all your cleaning done. :T I reckon
today will be the day I finally get the ironing finished :whistle: but
I've also got to start taking the decs down and pack them
all away for another year (boo) by the Twelfth Night - so
maybe I'll start doing that first.

I'm worried about rose too, hope all is ok. :A
