 Hellooeee everyone
I've finally bought the last of the Christmas presents today
but made the fatal error of going into town. Never
again! Shops were absolutely heaving with people all
with the same thing on their minds!
Phew, was very pleased to get home.
Wishing you all the best for your mini exam tomorrow
April. I'm sure you will do brilliantly! :THighlight of week was DGs Christmas Concert at school. It was very good they did a take off of Strictly come Dancing so was very funny.
Well I had some good news re Peter Pan tickets have been given them for a Saturday so no problems about school but it's 7pm performance. Would have cost £150 - £200 for two adults and two children so I'm over the moon.
I had some this week too. A WEM to say I've won a night at a Jury's Inn. DD1 wants it for a concert in Edinburgh next year. Says non transferable but we will see when voucher comes. I also won another goodreads and a children's book A Wimpy Kid one.
Love the sound of your DGs Christmas Concert leanfun! :T :rotfl:
Well done getting the Peter Pan tickets for the Saturday! Crikes,
didn't realise the cost for a family  - you have done well!
:j Brilliant wins: a night at Jury's Inn, another goodreads and a
children's book! :j:T
Can you pretty please send the comping fairy over to me.
Thanking you in advance.

Hope your mum's health improves day by day sheils. xx
So sorry to hear about your friends funeral and her sister
suffering a heart attack on the journey down from
Edinburgh.
Cathp808  - well done avoiding all the colds and
sickness bugs going around your children's school. It's not
nice getting a bug at any time of the year but particularly
at Christmas.Wishing you a very merry Christmas
too. xx
Sorry you felt poorly today sylv - glad you're feeling a bit
better now - am guessing the new tablets will take a bit
of getting used to. xxx
Well, must get on - having a scrumptious curry tonight with a
white wine spritzer.
Have a lovely evening all, will catch up tomorrow morning.

Thanks everyone, feeling a bit better now that I have rested. Will soon get used to the tablets I expect.
Good luck to your DD Sheils on her exam and you too April.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
Hi everyone  every time I log on to mse I've dozed off to sleep before I can comment!
I think I need some iron tablets to keep me awake!
Sylvia, sorry to hear you've not been well. Take care and hope the meds settle for you soon ((hugs)) xx
My bro is doing OK and on a special diet so it doesn't trigger his diverticulitis and hernia. He's just waiting on blood transfusion.
Fire**fly, fantastic win :j :T This is definitely one for you to keep!
Good luck with your mini exam AprilI'm sure you'll be great! My DD had a college exam but had a panic attack in there! First time since starting college too.
Leanfun, that's great about the Peter Pan tickets and well done on the other wins too :j :T The kids will be pleased.
Alfie, I think I'm doing the dreaded town tomorrow! DD is off to cinema with college friends (first time out on her own with friends) so I will probably get bus down with her.I am guilty of forgetting to send Xmas cards. I found some I had written out last yr but forgot to send so I had to check incase I put the new yr date on before I send them!
Sheils, hope you can get to go to your friend's funeral xx that's such a shame about her sister too. I imagine all the stress may have caused it. Good luck for DD's exams too in uni.
Rose, hope you got the water sorted out now. Ours is a hard water area so we prefer bottled water to drink.
Well I am so gutted, I had an interview for full time TA at work and I really thought I had it in the bag but I didn't get it.Even others at work were convinced I had it and rooting for me. I'm going to have to start looking else where at other options as just doing part time supply isn't paying bills.
I've decided to cheer myself up and open the Lilly o'brien chocs I won last month!
Hope everyone is well and having some lucky advent wins!Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Well done on the lovely prize FF. :T
Glad you are feeling better Sylvia. If it keeps happening you must go back and get different tablets as I believe there are lots of different ones.
DD thinks exam went OK thanks and she got a "B" for her written assesment work (although she had hoped for an "A") At least it means she will be able to enjoy her January break without having to rewrite anything. She says quite a few failed and a lot of students starting to quit or get chucked out already. She came up for dinner and put up our tree and helped DH with few ceiling decorations so maybe I will start to feel for Xmasy!

Hi everyone,
Just had a visit to my mother who is feeling a bit better except for feeling sick so refusing to eat.
Had to go to Tesco for some food while we were out. DS3 coming home on Monday now as he has been asked to work on Sunday. Think he is needing a break before Xmas.
Must get some comps done now. Good Luck all.
