Well done ff. Advents are driving me nuts already ploughing through to see which I will put in folder. Have about a dozen. So hopefully by tomorrow there wont be as many new ones posted but not holding my breath. Just a pity normal comp postings are suffering but I suppose at this time of year you can't expect anything else. Bit milder here tonight. Have to go out in the morning so hopefully jack frost stays away. Must remember to get Christmas Cards. Thought I had loads left over from last year but alas not. Well done leanfun Indie and becks as well.

thanks rose, lol, agree, think advents are always the
worse first few days of opening &
hopefully yes, it'll calm down a bit tomorrow,
suppose the normal comps postings will be up tomorrow/asa
as ops will be prolly sorting advents & busy entering /sorting out themselves,
hope jack frost does stay away tomorrow

I agree fire**fly, it's always manic first few days! I kept meaning to pop in here earlier but I kept getting distracted by FB advent comps! Have entered a fair few from FB so here hoping! Good luck everyone and hope there's some winners :)

Sorry Sylvia, I had forgotten Fred was going in for tests today. Sorry if I've been tagging you in comps on FB :o Hope Fred is ok xx

Well done on the wins fore**fly, luckofthedraw, Leanfun & indie :j :T

Sheils, pic on FB. Hope you're not too tired after your big walk! Have a good time! Xx

Good luck with your college course April :)
I really need a haircut too now. One of the kids in school ripped a chunk of my hair out so had to trim the other side to make it look equal! :o I need to cut it desperately but hate going to hairdressers.

Has everyone got their tree & decks up then? I have no motivation whatsoever yet! :o
I've been to watch DD1 in her college performance and it's so lovely to see she's made so many friends who don't look down on her and accept her in their circle of friends. :) All through her school life she only one friend and now she's even going out with them to pics at weekend to celebrate her bday! I'm one proud mama! :D
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

Up early and going to try and sort my advents out. Sure a lot of my favourites are missing this year so going to check them out.
See Tombola is free again this year - had to have paid money last year.
Well done to all the winners.

Wingo, really pleased your DD1 is enjoying college and making lots of friends. Haven't thought about our decorations yet . We are off again on Sunday for 3 nights so probably get them up when we come home as Ds3 will be coming for a pre-Xmas break as he has a weeks holiday and will be working all over Xmas. Thinking of only putting a tree up this year although DH wants the ceiling decorations up too. Might compromise and put a few up. Meaning to write our cards today too.

Must get on. Good luck everyone.

    Good morning everyone

    Hope you're all ok. :)

It's most definitely not so cold here today - no Jack
Frost to wake up to! :p

sheils - many thanks for the update about sylv and Fred -
such a relief to hear all is going well.

There was a news item on TV yesterday showing the hotel in
Cumbria you had mentioned that suffered dreadfully from
the flooding. They have at last been able to open after a
very long and tough year. It was lovely to hear
though how everyone pulled together to help them. :T :A

Ooh I won 2 x tickets to the Adele concert at Wembley next year final concert with Heart if you didn't see it in IWIWIIW:j:j:j

    :j Very well done luckofthedraw - wonderful win! :j :D :T

Lol - I only found one advent in the end that I quite liked - will
have another look today. :p The good news is that I finally
finished cleaning my windows! Yay! :j

 Hi purpleluvbug - lovely to 'see' you, hope you're
    keeping well. :)

:xmastree: No, not got tree or decks up here yet wingo - you're
not alone. :p Think I'll most probably put them up next
    weekend. :rudolf:

I love hearing about how well your lovely DD1 is getting on -
it's brilliant that she's doing so well now and has made so
many good friends. :T You have every reason to be very
    proud of her. :D

I haven't got my Christmas cards either rose! :p Received my
first card in the post yesterday from a relative - she's always
    mega organised!

Have a lovely and lucky day all and take care. :)

Morning all. well done in wins, Luckofthedraw, FireFly and Indie.

I had a WEM for tickets to Peter Pan at the National theatre. The tickets are for the week before or the week after the school hols so will have to see how we can take GKs. Also had offer of tickets to the Travel exhibition, this was not a competition, Telegraph just sent free tickets.

Sheils thanks for great news of Sylvia's DH big relief.

Wingo brilliant news about your DD1 no wonder you are do proud. Feel the same as you about hair cuts. Mine needs attention too.

    Good luck everyone.

Morning peeps. No so cold here this morning. Looking a bit damp out though. Heading out in about half an hour so hopefully rain will stay away until I get home. No Decs or tree up here yet. Will probably wait until next weekend. Hope everyone is well.

I forgot the workmen were coming this morning to turn leccy off for a while. It's back on now though. Jasper didn't like the workman who came in to test the metre!

I bet it looks lovely and festive in your communal room fire**fly :) I love seeing other people's trees and decs but I've got no motivation yet to put mine up! Might do mine next week.

I suppose it will be very different for you this year Sheils not having all the family for Xmas. My dad used to always like the Xmas decs on the ceiling too so I don't know if Mam will want them up this year. She has just had ceiling painted too.

Well done on the tickets Leanfun :j you are great at winning tickets! Peter Pan is a good film so enjoy the panto. :)

Hope you win on the one advent you like Alfie :) I remember seeing that pub on the news that was flooded. Such a shame for those who have been flooded a few times.

No Xmas cards here yet Rose but not too bothered, I don't mind them when I'm ready for them! :D

I forgot to say I had a little win yesterday...I won a free flu jab:j I want one for DD1 but not sure if she has to pay so will check first. If she doesn't then I will use it. I know son gets them free but he won't have one.

No tree up in our house yet! Despite me really wanting to we usually say closest weekend to the 15th so will probably do it next sunday evening. Need to pull finger out and finish shopping and wrapping ready for Santa to deliver :D
