Hope everyone is having a good day and not doing too much.
Just thought I would let you know the gas men have just been, switched off my gas for half an hour and replaced the pipe to house and that is me done! :j They say hole at our house will soon be filled in. Ours was easy they said though so another 7 houses to do now. Nice ours was done first as they started at other end.

Thanks FF - was worried they would want to switch gas off next week when we were away as I didn't want to leave the house with no heating. :eek:

DH Has just had a win:-

Win a limited edition Arbonne Festive Collection bundle

Went to Docs for thyroid bloods and they were much more thorough than in Durham. Took my blood pressure and were not best pleased and said if it is still the same in 2 weeks will have to have a 24 hour monitor, sigh. She was pleased that I am going to Slimming World so that saved he having to tell me to get the weight off too!

Well done on your win Sheils and glad the gas peeps have got you sorted now so you can go away without worrying.


So pleased they managed to raise a good amount for your complex firefly. The emails are driving everyone mad I think, never miind we will have the Advents to contend with soon too

Well done to Fred and his win Sylvia. Sorry about your blood pressure but do wish you didn't do so much for everyone else.
DH's bottom BP going down but the top one isn't moving I'm afraid. He will need to go back soon and see what they say. We are doing so much walking and trying to be healthy.

We have decided to treat ourselves to a night in the Lakes on Wednesday night so looking forward to it. Also found a great deal with Village Hotel Blackpool in January - £46 for 2 nights B&B!!! (Should get £3 cashback too)

I'm quite picky when it comes to advents too. I don't enter a lot but do the odd occasional ones I fancy Good luck with them!

Sheils, the tombola advent starts on Thursday. There's also a raffle in December too. I won something on it last year, think it was LTS vouchers.

Son is still in agony with his ankle and can't weight bear it properly so had to stay off school today. It was a dirty rotten football team that they played against, he got studded in his ankle and his team mate got studded on purpose putting a big hole in his ankle and needing stitches! DH got caught up in a debate with their manager who was swearing his head off in front off kids and threatening DH!

I have had hundreds of emails too. I went to town and some of the shops were still trying to flog Black Friday 'bargains' except they weren't bargains as they had put prices up on some things before hand!

Had a nice bit of retail therapy with DD1 today shopping for a few things for her bday. She always looks for the cheapest bargains and doesn't mind shopping in primark bless her. Unlike my other two who are into all the latest designs.

LOL at the emails firefly, I know we all moan from time to time but I just take it as part of comping really. Don't suppose I will get the the Advents for a while with DH going in hospital on Thursday for 2 - 5 days depending on how he goes.

Thats terrible about the kids studding the opposition wingo. Saw my boys with bad marks but never that bad. I know a father of Ds3's friend had his leg broken in 3 places by someone playing in a pub football league. It took forever to heal and he was a real fitness fanatic so was terrible for him. Don't think he ever played again.
