suns out & birds singing away too :dance:
been out since around 7am digging out & moving
some fuschia plants that needed splitting
& cleaned out hanging baskets ready for later on :dance:
sounds like you're going to be busy with the b/days preps

A barbie yesterday sounded lovely fire**fly! Just perfect
for this weather. It's another beautiful day here
so more gardening for me!
I was out early too f**f - gave all my plants in containers
a good soaking (got loads of them). Also fed birdies
etc and gave bird baths a good clean. Just love the early
mornings - everything is so fresh and gorgeous! :j
Good luck with your DD's birthday buffet preparations

Hot day here again, just off to get some shopping then will go for a walk along the prom I think.
Indie - glad you got a few days off with this good weather :j
Inkling - cake sounds great good luck with the baking:) I noticed a cake in asda the other week that looked like a giant boiled egg that when cracked was full of sweets and sponge!
Sheils - glad you are home safe and enjoyed your stay. Hope DD has a great birthday. My youngest son is learning to drive at the mo and is putting in for theory this week fingers crossed ! Hope you get your buffet sorted I'm sure they will enjoy:)

Alfie/FF - and the gardeners amongst us- I've got a few empty containers and looking to fill with something that doesn't need anything much doing to it but will give a bit of colour and keep coming back year on year - any suggestions - are they called perenials? don't suppose I'm asking for much!!!

Well I too made it out into the garden, just clearing though. Very hot out there so kept coming in for a break.
Fire Fly barbicue sounded just what you needed. Great to be able to eat outside.

Thanks FF, heather will be a definite for a couple of the pots. I think we will just get general bedding plants for the rest and make an effort to turf them out at the end of the season!
Walk was lovely went to a place called 'Nicky nook' and it was beautiful. The dog came with us as it is a good walking place and the scenery is great, it was sooooo hot though.

been very hot here too & been in & out the shade,
once the weather starts getting warm here quite a few of the
neighbours start doing barbies &/or
wine & nibble evenings in the gardens,
always is nice for an hour or so :j

had some gave me a few years ago & had them in
pots for a bit but found they dried out very quickly
if not watered regularly so
i transferred them into the garden,

It turned really hot here today too. Supposed to be hotter tomorrow.We were out weeding for a bit earlier and had a little walk to town.
