in Water bills
I have just received my water bill from United Utilities for the period April 2016 to March 2017.
I am on water rates, and wondered how what I am paying per month compares to other people on water rates.
The total for the year is £271.76, and the bill mentions my rateable value of £83.00 per year.#
Are these figures low or high for a 3 bedroom mid-terrace house?
Thanks

They are low rates .
But rates vary with supplier .0 -
A rateable value of 132 in Anglian Water's region produces an annual bill for a 3 bedroom terrace house in excess of £550 so £271 is reasonable in my view.
The alternative is to go onto metered water supply which in my case has saved me £200+ a year. Might be worth you checking it out for your house.0 -
£271 is cheap for a 3 bed house. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
