DIY Housewarming Gift - Your Most-Used Kitchen Utensil?

Hi OS-ers!
I'm currently trying to make a housewarming gift for my friend who had just bought her first flat.
I'm making a "bouquet" of kitchen utensils in an oven mitt wrapped in ribbon and so far I have:
A plastic slotted spoon
A plastic fish slice
A hand-held mini cheese grater
A non-stick whisk
A wooden spoon
... is there any kitchen utensil that you couldn't live without? Any ideas for anything else "essential" that would fit into my bouquet are gratefully received!

Tin/can openers. Knives? As long as you make sure it is safely and visibly wrapped in the bouquet.SPC 08 - #452 - £415

What about a silicone spatula? They're brilliant at scraping stuff out of jars, so very OS!0

I second the silicon spatula but only if it's a single moulded version, not the ones with a separate handle and head! A ladle or plastic serving spoon (non slotted) for soups, sauces and gravy.

Serrated all-purpose knife. Couldn't live without one (or several actually).

In our family what you used to be known as the Delia whisk but now sold as a pair and now called the wonder whisk is a must have and has been in my home for decades and is now also in all my grown up offsprings homes .
