Why would a " trader" list their items like this?

  • Reporting to ebay probably a waste of time, trading standards and the tax man maybe companies house for the dodgy ltd name?

I'm sat on a bonded leather chair from Costco, clearly very few animals were harmed during the manufacture of bonded leather, and my chair was pretty cheap, as are the sofas this thread is about.

    What's the big deal?

People are buying cheepo pretend leather sofas and are stunned when that's what they end up with?

Even the feedback is half reasonable, most of the moans are about late night deliveries and people in France and Germany expecting free delivery?

Why the witch hunt, most of the stuff on ebay is just Chinese junk fresh out of a container, what have the sofa people done wrong???

You don't expect a sofa Cheepo or otherwise to peel after one year.
These are not reasonable people, trust me...
There are a number of links I deliberately haven't posted.
Anyone reading the thread would see that, unless you are just trying to be controversial..;)

Well yes, I bought some cheepo beds years ago, lesson learnt.

    My fault for being tight.

    In what way?

There has to be an element of buyer beware, if a sofa is a grand in a real shop, why would a £200 one off ebay be any good?

It's like the people selling the kitchens for £499 that are just rubbish, but kitchens from proper shops are £5k...

So why start a thread when you cannot or will not provide the full details?

Soolin seems to be saying that the item is listed in the uk site too, but for whatever reason, we can't seem to find that listing on the uk site .
Perhaps we are searching it wrong?
That was just a link that was found to illustrate the usersname

The link was in my post and is here:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BARGAIN-NEW-CLASSIC-MILANO-LEATHER-RECLINER-SOFA-SET-3-2-SEATER-BLACK-NEW-/181639217377?nma=true&si=qQChu%252FMxW3DmmFVP4ttx%252FDaDVw8%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

easy to search using the item number. Whoever posted the Chinese link was either logged in via China ebay or deliberately wanted to make this look dodgy.

EDIT: interestingly on my Ipad it did not show this as a business seller, on my desktop it does- another ebay glitch I suspect.

Short UK link to the page... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181639217377

Item ended so click see original listing.

Brooker Dave the issue is not the Sofa but a dodgy trader that claims to be a limited company. No company of that name exists.

It's probably aimed at Chinese people who are living in the UK, rather than "us".

Incorrect on both counts-it was just a link that came up in a specific Google search.
As shown in the link I provided, the outfit uses fake vat numbers sometimes and fake ltd business names. No one can " make" that look dodgy-er.
