Appealing Private Company Parking Ticket

  • The driver of the car has slight OCD and arrived in the car park rather early, in order to visit an on-site entertainment centre. They went window shopping before entering the entertainment centre but didn't actually purchase anything so can't really complain to any specific retail premises. I think looking into the grace period is a good idea though - many thanks!

Window shopping is a perfectly valid reason to park and visit a shop. A complaint should still be made as the driver will definitely not be buying anything now unless this ticket is cancelled. It's a shame because they had planned to spend sooooo much money in that centre but now can't afford the extra charges on top. ;)

Thanks - I really do appreciate the help! Date of offence - 27/01/16, date received 05/02/16, on site for 3 hrs, 15 minutes (15 minutes over max time), have not written to PE yet - hence asking for advice on here this evening
I have already used Martin's template letter

Thank goodness you actually haven't used that! Use the NEWBIES thread 'blue writing version' and call yourself the 'registered keeper' (ONLY) on the drop down menu and keep a screenshot, just the same as was just advised here and to everyone:

See you back here at POPLA stage. You just need to then read post #3 of the NEWBIE thread and crib from a similar ParkingEye example and show us the draft POPLA appeal for checking at that stage. We know how to win.
This is reduced to 60 pounds if paid within 14 days of the date of issue

Forget that. The MSE parking forum reduction takes it to zero!

You, your extended family and your friends etc should all be signing this petition
