Not interested in "celebrities" at all, no interest in what they get up to, or any of the glitz/papparazi shots, divorces, bust ups and mayhem.

So tonight's WDYTYA being Cheryl (Geordie bird on the X Factor panel) wasn't vaguely interesting ... but I watched it anyway as it's WDYTYA and it was a really good episode.

She went to her dad's side first and uncovered a little tragedy in 1858 and got some photos of her 4x great grandparents.

Then to her mum's side. Her mum said she had no idea about her grandfather, he wasn't mentioned .... and Cheryl discovered he was a trench digger in WW1 (inc Ypres and Somme) - and their hushed up family secret. She got a photo of him and his name and life story, so finally her mum knows his name and the story.

Great episode, varied enough to be interesting and not waxing on and on about the War .... and I LOVE it when mysteries are solved!

Have been doing a little bit of work on my tree tonight. Essentially following up on a female line I haven't looked at before. Initial inspection says that this one could be traceable back to 1590 if the records on geni are correct (they look quite a reliable source).

They are still only 11 miles away though. This branch of my family didn't have shoes filled with wanderlust, that's for sure.

Forgive my absences and intermittent postings. Much busier life, with much much more to do. Not complaining; could be worse.

I was getting over going to a midnight showing of Rogue one (Star Wars).....and because there isn't a great deal going on worth talking about at the moment!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Did you enjoy Rogue One Sue, or is that what's not worth talking about?!
