Got something on the telly about WW1. I didn't know there was a French mutiny and a lot of Frenchies refused to fight.
After six weeks their boss took some action, 23,000 were court-martialled and some were shot. The Germans never found out about the sit down strike. If they had it might've enabled Germany to win that war.0 -

That's not in dispute. She says she didn't know how to share photos and thought it was just going to a friend - I'd say that's part of the "reason", but she was guilty of doing it - as it was done, by her, ergo she is guilty.
If I mistakenly took someone else's raincoat from the cloakroom and left my own behind, that wouldn't be theft as it would lack any dishonest intent.
Similarly, this girl isn't necessarily guilty, just because she did it. The point is that most crimes are only crimes if there was a dishonest intention (or in some cases recklessness). Out of interest, was she found guilty? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

They're a small/local firm in charge, so probably "quite reasonable" to small issues should anything noteworthy actually occur.
If they're local, keep and eye on the work they do, and if it's good, it might be a firm to approach for the stuff you need doing?(I just lurve spiders!)

Pastures, please look away.
A month ago, my computer monitor gave a loud bang and stopped working. It was 9 years old, but a particularly nice monitor, so I opened it up to have a look. The main capacitor had blown up on the power supply board. I bought a new board on ebay for £10.50 including delivery from China. That arrived in under 4 weeks, I've fitted it, and the monitor's working perfectly again!
Edit: That board was a bargain. I've no idea how they do it for the money, especially for an out of date monitor that hardly anybody would bother to repair. But that's nothing - see below.
I'm getting a digital kitchen timer posted from China. Total cost is £1.38. That includes a cut for Visa, a cut for Amazon, postage, packing it up, and somebody making the item. That's ridiculous. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Dani Mathers is her name. She's just gone to court 3 days ago. It's still ongoing.... See, should be a 10-30 minute discussion.... not 3+ days' worth of building/people time.
A quick "what happened" discussion, followed by a decision and a lookup chart for possible sentencing/punishment... job done and onto the next "nobody died" case.
Verdict still to come.0 -

No. All they do is buy plots, build 10-20 houses/flats, then sell them. They seem to do one per year or so. They did this lot I'm sitting in 6-7 years ago.0 -

But you've summarised her case: She did it by accident, so she's not guilty. So, what do you do next? If you believe her, she's not guilty, despite "doing it". If you simply accept her version without looking any further, then nobody will ever be found guilty, and you can save even more money by not bothering with even a discussion across the table!
Likewise, if you simply reject her defence out of hand, and find everyone guilty, you don't need a trial or a discussion. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Pyxis, Sorry, I can't upload a pic of the Weeping Angel Dd made, i don't understand things like photobucket etc and would get all in a dither if I tried, even if I knew how to get a pic from my phone onto the site in the first place!
I found a pic of a similar one on Pinterest but couldn't post that either as the - oh dear, I don't even know what it's called, the bit at the top that begins http//is so very long.
Maggie How are you doing? Thinking of you. Thanks for the lovely sunset pics! xx.0 -

Ivy, do you know how to copy and paste?
If you do, just copy and paste the address in the address bar, (the bit with http etc.
If not, you 'select all' in the address bar, then press 'copy', then paste on to a post on here.
I've only got an iPad, so I can't be more specific than that, unless you've got an iPad!
But if it's all too much, don't worry!(I just lurve spiders!)
