Blimey, that IS a lot.... I thought you'd be saying 3-5 hours or something. :)

    I've never filled one yet!

It's useful if you want to keep whole series, etc.

Also, you can pause and rewind live TV, useful if the phone rings or you're desperate for the loo!

    Here's a bog-standard sort of one.....

Oh yes, and the other very useful thing is that if you want to record a whole series, you can set it to do that, so you don't have to reset each episode every week.

Blimey... I expected them to be about £20. That's more than a telly costs! The "modern telly" I've got is my inheritance (cleared out the care home room and kept it", that cost £100 from memory!

Reading the spec it all sounds a bit "mega" in functionality .... bit scarey, stuff to check re specs too.

No idea what HDMI is, I've only just started using tellys that use a SCART :)

It's just the type of connector socket. You have scart sockets and you have HDMI so you can get High Definition TV pictures.

Pastures, did you ever use a video recorder?

If so, these TV recorders are a lot simpler, both to set up, and to programme.

    .

    Would something like this help?
    It's around £25 and I don't think there's any fixing involved.

Not sure how much I'll be around the next few days as this evening I start to take the potions (each made up to a pint! no idea how will managed to drink a pint!) ready for the colonography on Wednesday - spare me a thought at 1.50! ;) Tomorrow I have to take 2 lots of potion, and then 2 hours before appt on Wed I have to drink a pint of water.

Meanwhile I'm on the low fibre diet which is incredibly boring. :( White bread, white rice, potatoes without skin, chicken, white fish, marmite or oxo, clear jelly, clear fruit juice, butter, marge and cheese. Oh, and eggs. Tea tonight will be omelette with chicken and boiled potato filling, accompanied by the first pint of potion. Oh for a few dashes of ketchup to enliven the omelette! :(

    What's in the potion?

Is it Picolax or similar, or something more out-of-a-cauldron?

I see cheese & potato pie in there :)
    And eggs & soldiers :)

I always eat white bread/rice, hate the texture of brown.
